Fantastic experience working with Charlie. Our recently built, 7-unit condo building was experiencing flooding in the bottom units. Charlie oversaw the entire process from investigation, excavation, to eventual repairs. This was nearly a year-long process and our condo was lucky to be working with Charlie. He was honest, thorough, prepared professional-level documents (including for legal use), and overall was just great to work with. Would recommend to anyone looking for a structural engineer.

I hired Structural Solutions to design a roof deck, giving them $475 as a retainer. They'd given me an estimated schedule of 2-3 for completion. Two weeks after receiving my retainer and not returning my calls I was informed that the engineer working on the project left the firm. Personnel changes happen, but then I was then informed that it uncertain when anyone else in the firm would be able to perform my job. Okay, so I'd like my retainer returned. He refused to refund my retainer because the engineer who left had already started to work on it -- no usable product to me though! I shouldn't have to absorb the cost of their personnel problems. Only after some pestering did they return my original drawings.
