Overall the Experience was good but we weren’t able to complete whole zoo and it took us 3 hrs to complete.
Some basic details:
1. For Battery operated vehicles: 80 for Adults and 40 for children (8yrs-12yrs).
2. U can carry your water bottles but not raincoat (as it is made up of plastic).
3. Other options for drinks are available inside for refreshments.
4. There are 2 areas where Royal Bengal Tigers are kept. Do visit the inside one aswell as there is a beautiful lake beside it.
5. Last but not the least buy the tickets beforehand online as there is no ticket counter.

All over it was very good.. We met very friendly ranger who told us about tigers and for sure it was the most amazing part of the whole zoo.. though we missed out some animals.
Zoo provided us with the unlimited vehicle card but there was only one way the were following that is from start to end, once you crossed a specific stop you cannot go back with the vehicle.

We visited on a weekday and it was not as crowded. Tickets you have to buy online which is 80 per person for adults. There is an electric cart service for 70 a person which you will get inside the zoo and can board and deboard as many times.
The reptile section was a disappointment The rest of the zoo is good and makes it a decent place to visit with kids.
The African elephant stands out from all the animals and is a must visit.
No kind of food items are allowed inside even for kids. Inside there is no place to eat The only thing is that you can buy cold drinks that are too at limited places.

Great zoo, though international visitors beware of ticket issues!

I thought the National Zoological Park had a great selection of animals, as well as lots of interesting signs describing their behaviour, diet etc.

The zoo itself was also easy to get to, though be aware that when you go in, you are not allowed to bring plastic bottles.

One issue we had was that we couldn’t order tickets- the mobile website would not accept multiple different foreign debit/credit cards and the other option (a qr code), required an Indian phone number. In the end we had to ask a staff member to order the tickets with their phone and then we gave them money! Keep this in mind if you only have a foreign card/phone…

It's a nice place to visit with kids and family. 2-3 hours is enough time to roam around. Well maintained. Drinking Water and Toilet facilities are available at many places but No food is allowed inside the Zoo, so eat properly before entering because there are no canteens inside the area. The advantage and disadvantage of Ticketing is Ticket books only through official websites. Maybe A non educated person will face an issue.

Nestled amidst the bustling metropolis of Delhi, the National Zoological Park stands as a serene sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. As I ventured into this haven of biodiversity, I found myself immersed in a world where the harmony of nature reigns supreme.

Spanning over 176 acres, the zoo boasts a diverse array of species from across the globe, meticulously curated to provide a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Earth's fauna. From majestic tigers prowling in their enclosures to graceful giraffes grazing under the sun-kissed sky, every corner of the park holds a treasure trove of marvels waiting to be discovered.

One of the highlights of my visit was the unique opportunity to witness rare and endangered species up close, including the elusive white tiger and the majestic Asiatic lion. The zoo's conservation efforts shine through its breeding programs aimed at preserving vulnerable species, offering visitors a chance to witness firsthand the importance of wildlife preservation.

Moreover, the park's well-planned layout and lush greenery create an immersive experience, allowing visitors to meander through winding pathways adorned with verdant foliage. The tranquil ambiance, punctuated by the melodic chirping of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves, provides a welcome respite from the chaotic urban landscape outside.

For families, the National Zoological Park offers an educational and entertaining outing, with informative signboards and interactive exhibits guiding visitors through the wonders of the natural world. Children can delight in the playful antics of monkeys or marvel at the intricate patterns adorning the scales of exotic reptiles, fostering a sense of wonder and curiosity about the animal kingdom.

In conclusion, a visit to the National Zoological Park is a journey of discovery and appreciation for the beauty and diversity of life on Earth. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply seeking a tranquil retreat amidst the city's hustle and bustle, this enchanting oasis promises an unforgettable experience that celebrates the wonders of the natural world.

It's a nice place to visit & spend time with kids (under 12 years). Approx 3-4 hrs are required to visit the complete zoo. Battery operated vehicles are available too with extra charges.
We saw Cheetah, Rhinoceros, Elephant, Tiger, Ostrich, several varieties of roosters, parrot, macaws & cockatoo, different types of deer, 2-3 types of monkey, jackal, fox, crocodile, however both white tiger and lion were sleeping 😅

Things to take care:
# Plastics are completely banned inside the zoo so please carry food and water in lunch boxes & water bottles (reusable ones).
# Ticket booking can be done online & is cheaper that way.
# All the canteens were closed when we visited so carry your own food/ snack if required.
