Ilkley Food Market

Brilliant market for a potter round to sample outstanding food and drink and get some lovely food to treat yourself at home. Also some other great producers selling jewellery, art, plants, clothing etc. There;s usually a few buskers and some live music on the bandstand as well. It's just a lovely way to unwind and the vibe is really relaxed and friendly.
Someone mentioned it was overpriced - it's an artisan market, not an everyday get your groceries cheap type of market and the prices reflect that. I think they're reasonable for the quality on offer.
Others have mentioned there are hardly any stalls. That was true of the first few events that were held, but it rapidly expanded and now the stalls completely fill the whole of The Grove. But, there are a few stalls on the Grove on Saturdays - fruit and veg, local Indian food and so on, some of which also appear at the monthly Sunday market. Also it sometimes gets cancelled or suspended for bad weather, and at fairly short notice. That might be the source of confusion.

Great foodie market lots of choice with over 60 stalls up and down the Grove, no stalls are repeated so lots of different local produce, 1st Sunday of every month is our day to eat plenty. Some of the reviews on here seem to relate to different aplace, 1 guys says 3 stalls, eh there's 60, shaun Smith must walk around with his eyes closed:)

High quality produce and a very welcome sight in todays retail environment.

Good choice of stalls with some great food offerings. Bhajis and Samosas were delicious as was the walnut bread. And then a glass of wine from Martinez at the end of the market
