Hazel is a gem. The venue is stunning, the food is fresh and delicious and well presented, the service is great and the desserts are standout. I’m obsessed with the honey tart, which is floral and sweet but not overly so, with a perfect crunchy crust. The choux with pineapple and vanilla is also great.

As for savoury dishes, standouts include the tomatoes with cod roe and salmon pearls and the friggitello peppers with chevrano.

Spent my birthday here in Hazel. Service was amazing and considerate. Food was even better. Their portions are huge so better have an empty stomach when dining in.

Fantastic service, staff very approachable and able to talk through menu. Recommend the chefs menu, all round delicious options. Great time had by all - a fine Melbourne establishment

Exceptional experience. Everything was delicious - with precise balance of flavours and ingredients. There were no wrong choices from the menu with the potato’s, oysters, cod and deserts being extra special. Relaxed ambience and stylish decor that was set perfectly for a group or intimate dinner. I hope I am lucky enough to dine here again.

Our Friday night dinner was a delight, highlighted by the exquisite grilled flathead adorned with a refreshing dressing that beautifully accentuated its natural flavors. However, our evening took an unexpected turn when a nearby alarm demanded an abrupt evacuation, briefly interrupting our meal. Despite the interruption, we managed to relish the delightful conclusion to our dinner—an indulgent honey tart. Its delicate, crumbly pastry formed the ideal base for the sumptuous filling, a sweet and luxurious finale to an eventful night.

Unbelievable experience. We ordered the chef’s menu, so worth it. The food was delicious, and the waiters were super nice. They made our date super special. I’m 100% coming back. As part of the chef’s menu, the main course was the pork belly, I told them that I can’t have pork belly and they were super happy to switch it for the fish of the day, no extra charge or issues.

Amazing food, service and aesthetic. Highlights of the menu were the pork cracker with whipped crab roe, grilled octopus, and the burnt carrot and miso strip loin steak. The staff were really knowledgeable and friendly. Well priced for some top quality food. Already planning my next meal there

We really enjoyed our dinner at Hazel! It was our first time and we absolutely loved it - the food, the place and the service was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all over! The food is so tasty, highly recommend the pork cracker with cod roe, beef tartare, bread and butter and pork belly main. We would definitely be back for more. Perfect ambiance (the place is stunning) and the service is just amazing. Big thank you to Sam who served us last night, he was so warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and just a joy to chat with. He was serving so many tables but still had a big smile on his face. 😊
