Easily the worst Anytime I have been to. The bathroom is decrepit and falling apart. There whole gym smells like piss. The only other bathroom with a shower has the water on a 30 second timer. Who watched the shower punishment scene in "Holes" and thought that was a good idea? My local Anytime in Wollert is incredible and this one is a shocker.

The only positive aspect of this gym is its 24-hour accessibility. That's why I did not leave earlier. But this gym is not worth it.

The gym is depressing, dirty, and poorly maintained. Upgrades have been promised since at least January 2023, and now the manager has resorted to blaming a minority of the members for why the upgrades have yet to take place. The routine drain problems, poor maintenance, and the mess are just some of the reasons why I would dread going to the gym.

Somehow the prices have increased to around £50, which is utterly unjustified for what little it has to offer (and no, this gym isn't the most affordable option in Kensington).

The final straw for me was the gym's most recent newsletter, here are the highlights:

1. "If someone attempts to come in the gym behind you and you do not know them - challenge them." - It is not for members to challenge others coming in. This is inappropriate and a safety concern.

2. "Yesterday, someone, hopefully not a member, d*fecated in the shower of the changing rooms" - This is beyond unacceptable.

3. "We have picked someone up on our CCTV using the stretching area to sleep." - Given that there is a poor signal and internet connection, this is not a safe environment, especially for those who go to the gym in the early hours.

The least a gym can offer is somewhere clean and safe for its members to exercise, which this gym fails to provide. Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere.

P.S. There will likely be a passive-aggressive/argumentative reply from the manager (professionalism is in short supply here)

I've been sent around 60 text messages sent from about 20 different mobile numbers. In the messages it says if I don't want to receive any more messages, then just reply STOP. I've done this about 10 times, but they continue sending me messages from different numbers. You can't even block them as they keep switching numbers. I've reported this to the ICO, but if they keep sending messages than I'll need to continue leaving negative reviews until it stops.

I decided to apply for Anytime Fitness in person, and was registered with Ziggy. Ziggy was very warm, welcoming and friendly; as I used to find the gym an intimidating place to be at. Ziggy made this process very smooth and quick to be a member.

Clean, well-maintained, and fit with most of the core equipment. Notably missing is the assisted dip/pull-up machine, which for many (including myself), is important for both push and pull days. Also the gym is located in the basement of the hotel, which means no windows (poor ventilation) and poor signal reception.

That being said, this branch of AF offers a convenient and compact workout experience for those who live in the area or are visiting, staying in the hotel above!

If you need a place to work out. It does the job. Yes, needs to be cleaned. Yes, it's small. I'd go back.

Depressing windowless gym. Often there are leaks or the toilets stink. Not clean at all.

I was a member for almost two years, on cancellation I had to pay almost 2 full extra months of membership. On the second payment, there was an additional late fee applied (no warning given of this).
