The trails were very well maintained and captured the beauty of Australian native animals and plants. The koalas were so cute. Would definitely recommend visiting.

This sanctuary is a 45min drive from Canberra. Good for a day outing if you are in Canberra. The visitor centre is closed now, so entry is free. I would highly recommend the 2km sanctuary trail.

The tidbinbilla sanctuary is a really special place. Easy to get to, easy parking, great amenities and a range of easy walks.

We saw beautiful wildlife from birds to turtles. Definitely worth a visit.

A million extra points for wheelchair accessibility!!

Visiting the backyard of the Nation's Capital.
Nice to visit all year round. You never know whether you'll see wildlife, which can vary from kangaroos, emus, potteros, wallabies, koalas, various birds, and various flora. Great place for picnics and bbq's. Toilets available. The visitors centre has good information. Great walks of various intensity.

Great great park with lots of walking trails for all ages and difficulty levels. You can see all kinds of animals just wondering by and it's amazing. The visitor center staff was helpful and nice, the also got a place for kids to draw and paint while you get some coffee. Some trails are good for trams, which is great for families. We enjoy it a lot!

A lovely walk around the lake, and great for strollers or wheelchairs here as the path is smooth and laid with tarmac. Some great spots to see a range of birdlife and even some turtles, with the path being mostly a loop, with lots of adjacent tracks of different distances.

There's a few information boards and sculptures around this part of the nature reserve, with the walk across the lake being superb.

We were the last to leave. Loved it. We entered the Sanctuary from the carpark nearest to Black Flats. The Vet centre was closed (Sunday afternoon). From the board walk we saw kangaroos, snake neck tortoises, a nesting swan pair, a bizarre looking (musk?) duck with huge wattles, doing a mating ritual on the water, a few fish and heaps of little birds. On the footpath, more birds kept us inspecting our surroundings (magpie geese, cormorant, parrots and many unfamiliar ones). A bandicoot crossed our path - something my daughter had never seen. The popularity of this great short walk venue means heavy footed people and can scare animals into hiding, so be patient. Please, also stick to the speed limit in the park. It's there for a reason.
