This is an incredible place to visit. Thanks to the trees, it's always a little cooler here. Wallabies hop around after 4 pm. I went early in the morning once, there was a gentleman using a leaf blower on the path. This place is clean and well looked after.

Nice and quiet nature walk for yourself and your dogs to enjoy
On a Monday morning what a relaxed quiet place. Sounds of nature and the odd walker is what was there. Totally different feel to the weekend when it is often busy with birthday parties. Nice to see other side of this beautiful park.
Really wonderful place to have a stroll. We saw lots of kangaroos, three koala and four tawny frogmouth. Beautiful place in nature on the busy/built up Goldcoast.
My little adventure took me through the bushland areas of this park, plus a few adjoining Reserves. I can’t really review the Koala Sanctuary, but I know it’s great to see some native fauna. There are many trails in this park and the surrounding areas, so I’d suggest downloading some maps on AllTrails or similar. Many beautiful sights to behold, and very peaceful. Hardly anyone there during the week, but be aware on the weekend, as the MTBs love the area (for good reason). I would suggest slowing it down though, and fully immersing yourself in the environment.
Love the new walking tracks and bridge went early about 9am and there was plenty of parking as it does get busy etc. some newly paved walking tracks is nice compared to the old gravel ones
Lovely place to walk and be one with nature.
Great place to have a good relaxing time with friends and family, even dog pets would have good times with the large dog play area.

Because mainly this reserve has the interest from family with kids, it'd would be great if there're more playground venues available.

Having playground features where kids can run and climb would create great moments for both parents and the children.

I do hope the new section being built will cater that excitement.
Amazing walk, saw hundreds of kangaroos and 3 koalas when we visited. Just have to be patient and keep looking up to see the koalas
The Island is a dune habitat, and one of Australia’s most accessible breeding colonies of short tailed shearwaters or mutton-birds. You can also see kangaroos during walks. You can follow the walking track to loop the island which takes approx one hour which also includes some beach walking. 1.2km to the lighthouse or 3.1km for the full loop. For the best light and photography, try to visit the island early in the morning. I love the sand dunes on this island and be careful they are highly unstable.
Great park, dog park. it's got lots of fun activities and well kept facilities
I had the most amazing experience at the Daisy Hill Koala Sanctuary! 🐨 This place is a true gem, and I can't recommend it enough.

The opportunity to get up close and personal with these adorable koalas is something I'll cherish forever. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife conservation, and it shows in the way they care for these beautiful creatures.

The sanctuary itself is well-maintained, and the natural surroundings make it a serene and peaceful place to visit. It's not just about koalas; there are so many other fascinating Australian animals to see and learn about.

Whether you're a local looking for a fun day out or a tourist wanting to experience Australia's unique wildlife, Daisy Hill Koala Sanctuary is a must-visit. It's educational, heartwarming, and a great way to support the conservation efforts for these iconic animals.

I'll definitely be coming back with friends and family. A big thank you to everyone at Daisy Hill for the fantastic work you do! 🌿🐨❤️
We were lucky enough to see a koala and kangaroos but gosh.. having mosquito repellent is an understatement. We were mobbed by mozzies so couldn't stay long. Read the reviews prior and knew there would be mosquitos so we wore long pants etc. But wow. Definitely take repellent.

Great tracks ranging from pretty easy to very technical, more single track man made like than Westies. Nice landscape.

Wonderful, nice place in a nice town
I appreciate how well curated and maintained everything is. it features plenty of picnic areas, paths through the forest and amenities like parking and washrooms. the entrance is FREE and it's perfect to bri g your kids, as they have kid friendly learning areas. currently it hold 3 koalas, 2 females and one male, that have been rescued.
Beautiful place to go for a walk. There are many trails, including kangaroo and koala trails. There were many kangaroos freely roaming about. Although it was mentioned that there were about 150 koalas there, I was not lucky enough to spot any!
Make sure to caryy a mosquito repellent lotion with you, as the mossies are rather blood thirst!
Overall, it was a beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing walk.
There is free roadside parking available.
Month of visit: December 2023

This is a must go place if you live in Brisbane or Goldcoast, it is free and more importantly for me as an international student is that it is public transportation friendly!!

You can see many kangaroos everywhere! There is also koalas but its more difficult to spot.
If you like nature, kangaroos and other animals i think you would love this!

Dont forget to bring your own drink and most importantly insect repellent, the mosquitoes there are annoying!

What a gorgeous spot with towering gum trees, quiet spot to do some forest bathing and plenty of picnic space. There are walks amongst the trees, large space for kids to run around and good toilet facilities. Located next door to the koala centre which offers free viewing of koalas. The only issue I had, was with the walking trails which I felt could be better mapped and marked out making the start of them easier to find - but I have a terrible sense of direction.
Simply a beautiful place for a leisurely walk if staying in the area for a couple of days. We visited mid week, early October while it was not too busy.
Took an impromptu walk in this lovely wetlands area. The boardwalk and path are well maintained and suitable for all ages and abilities. Lots of birdlife, and spotted many waterdragons.
Short a star because of some litter and dumping along the path, but otherwise a delightful spot for some exercise and peace.
No dogs/cats allowed.
Great day on the water, slipped into estuary nice calm, area, enjoyable,

An easy and relatively flat walk to take your dog on leash. Great for strollers too with the main trail fully paved. It’s a linear trail, but plenty of bird life to see on the walk. There’s a few biking trails too, with jumps and ramps on one side of the trail.

Lovely local walking trail. A lot of interesting things to see bush turkeys, wallabies, lots of bird life, watergragons. Plus lots of walkers, runners, cyclists and friendly dogs. The main track is mostly flat, it can get hilly when walking the bush trails
Do the longer walk along the beach if your capable it’s not to hard but it was really rewarding. Lots of beautiful vistas and protected coves. Heartbreaking thing though was the amount of dead birds that I believe are being taken by foxes overnight, they were baiting when I was there

I absolutely love this place!

First, this is a great place to ride your mountain bike. Saw a lot of people drive here and ride their bike. I just visited here for the first time and regret never bringing my bike here.

Second, I get to see the koala! Been visiting a lot of parks where they said you can see the koala but never have the luck until here. Never seen a koala in my life, so yeah, I get excited.

Third, a good place for a picnic. There is some picnic area where you can have BBQ here. And yeah will definitely visit again with my bike and some food with my friends and loved ones.

Fourth, it is a dog friendly park. Yeah I love dogs and it's good to see all the dogs running around here.

Fifth, a good place for jogging.

So many good things happened in a place, who doesn't give 5 stars.

The perfect walk with a stroller, dappled light across most of the trail with birdsong backdrops or kids playing in pools. There is a small BMX bike track and a short mountain bike run, but no bathrooms or playgrounds anywhere along this track. Pleasant walking and lots of friendly locals to say hi to and dogs a plenty which are cleaned up after with a bin and bags available at the entrance.
Beautiful Forrest 😍. Would love to explore with mountain bike one day. Dit 7km circuit in here and had enjoyable experience:)

You would have to be a complete and utter moran to visit this supposed nature reserve. All of the photographs have been edited not to show all the graffiti. If you enjoy watching wildlife in the central reservation of the Central Pacific Highway, this is the place for you. No visit would be complete without a visit to the McDonald's drive through. Do yourself a favour and spend time visiting somewhere else
They may look like mud flats to you at low tide but they are far more. Deception Bay provides a superb nursery for many species of sea creatures and the birds are so numerous. You will spot new each time you stop to look.
Of concern is the rubbish that ends up in the water causing death and destruction to sea life. If you see rubbish and can, bin it.
Our planet is precious. The Deception Bay Conservation Area is so special. It needs to be treasured.
A beautiful spot by the coast to explore, the water was so clear we even got in with our snorkels. Just from the paths you can stingrays and fish - we 100% want to come back and see more! Close carparking and can fish here too!

Great area to.explore, pathway that extends a few kilometers between shailer park dog streeta and cornubia which is great for riding even with small kids even if a little steep in places. Connects to network of mountain biking tracks. Lots of brisge stream crossings. Consider insect repellant.

Came here with friends on a cloudy-almost rainy-rained a little kind of day. Perfect for a calm walk and to enjoy the sea breeze.

Love it. First time here. Its winter and not much around but we still had some close encounters with some fabulous wildlife. Even the Red Bellied Black Snake came out to say hi.

Great picture perfect location ❤️ awesome for a walk or a jog and the waterfalls are beautiful. I loved the alphabet letter themed play ground and the mirror above the swing is innovative and just makes sense. Thanks for this experience, I got lots of great scenery photos.also the ducks were very friendly 🦆
Fantastic. Beautiful boardwalk. Fabulous trees. Take binoculars for sure to see the bats and the spoon bills and numerous other birds. A must for the to do list
Great place for a dog walk!
Nice and quiet, good place to swim my dogs.
Quiet walk with wide paths, summertime though becomes a mosquito breeding ground and cyclists who can't read will ride along the path that can cause problems around blind corners
Good for a bit of relaxing
Wonderful place to visit, seculded and beautiful beaches. Part of the walk does not have a formal path and requires solid shoes, if you are going all the way around the Island. If you take the paved path to the lighthouse and back, it is a very easy walk. Would do it again next time I am in Port Fairy.
Good place to swim your dogs

Great secluded little track for dog walking. Nothing much else otherwise. The tracks are rocky. There is no lighting at night time.
Quite remarkable

Great Remnant.
A rather special place that was thankfully saved from the all powerful property developers. Tranquil and quiet, a flat path takes you over bridges and above the wetlands to give a beautiful view of the wildlife.

Apart from the large number of birds and lizards, youay be lucky to see a wallaby.
It's a great place to take your dog for a walk or even a swim.
A nice easy walk along the Nepean.
Great spot for a walk. Nice parks and bbqs are kept clean. Also there's a lovely cafe on beach.
Great for dogs to swim and run on the water . Calm beach with no waves in the bay. Nice park with picnic facilities..
