The Sandbar

The Sandbar! What a great experience. We just finished a Day at Harbor Town watching the 3rd Round of the RBC Heritage, it was a beautiful day, but it was hot - 90 degrees of low country hot! When we departed from the shuttle bus we had hopes of eating somewhere, but had no idea that we could get a table. We pulled up the Sandbar on google and walked straight over. The service was great and they had indoor and outdoor seating. They were well staffed and everyone was welcoming and kind. The orders came out fast and delicious. The restaurant was clean and the fusion of outdoor and indoor and dual bars gave it an extra set of beach panache! If you are looking for a great spot with great food and aura the Sandbar is for you!

This was a cool place. The food was really good. It had nice flavors. We had seafood pasta. It had a good amount of seafood in it. We also had the grilled grouper. It was good. The she crab chowder was really good. I liked the outside dining area. The server was really friendly as well.

This bar is conveniently located close to the Coligny Beach Access, so we popped in for a couple of lunches while we were down. There was a 15-20 minute wait, which was not an issue because we just browsed some shops nearby.

The drink pricing is awesome and the bloody Mary's we ordered were great. We got the carne asada and shrimp tacos. They were decent, but I wasn't a fan of the hard flour tacos. The whole thing crumbled as I tried to take a bite. Flavor was good though. We tried their layered cheesecake and it was good, but very rich and a bit much for just two of us. We got a box to take it back to our family and they all enjoyed a couple bites of it which was nice.

The first time we ate here, our waiter was not very attentive and was rather short. We decided to give it a second shot later in the week because the bloodys were good and had a waitress that was much better. Other people have commented on how their phone numbers were taken down wrong. We did encounter that as well, but we told the hostess we never got the confirmation text and she corrected the phone number.

Went here before the St Patrick’s day parade. There was a reasonable wait, live music, and friendly staff. I got the scallop tacos with grilled vegetables. The veggies were very tasty and exceeded my expectations by far! The tacos were also great and the taco shell was different than what I was expecting with a very fluffy texture to it. The only thing that could have been better was the chips that came with our appetizer. They tasted stale even after being replaced and I think they said something about making them the day before because they were going to be very busy on St Patties day. I understand but that’s all that was missing for an extra star! I will definitely be back again.

Spontaneous visit to the beach led us here. Food was great service was good. It was college football Saturday it was a little bousterous but fun. We had she-crab soup, crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops all were really tasty!

This was our first time to eat here and it was a great experience. The food was well prepared and very tasty with several good options on the menu according to what you like. The loaded hush puppies are a must. Also recommend the island shrimp tacos and the hurricane shrimp as both were very flavorful. Servings were generous and the kids menu was reasonably priced with several options and sides. It was nice to eat outdoors and listen to the live music.

This was a popular place! We had an hour wait but we expected that so didn’t mind. Food was very good and the service was excellent. We sat inside just because it was the first thing available but the outdoor atmosphere was amazing!

The oysters here were amazing and tasted so fresh. The roast oysters, especially were the highlight of the night. Having amazing flavor from the hollandaise and the creamy spinach on top with bacon, made it an explosion of flavor. The coconut shrimp was crispy, and the sauce had excellent flavor. The ambience was very romantic and is a place I will never forget. Highly recommend anyone to come here for a date night or a casual night to eat !
