We love Rondel, a small Ukrainian restaurant, with so much delicious food. A perfect place for gatherings, parties, christenings, birthdays…you name it. The staff is patient with clients, and is very attentive. My husband and I, got engaged here a year ago, so this place will always have a special place in our hearts. Слава Україні!! 💙💛

My recent dining experience at Rondel, a Ukrainian gem tucked away in the heart of Brooklyn, left me utterly enchanted and eager to share my delightful adventure. Rondel effortlessly captures the essence of Ukraine with its charming and authentic ambiance. The simple rustic wooden decor, a few traditional artworks, and warm lighting set the stage for a genuine Ukrainian dining experience. The menu at Rondel boasts a captivating array of dishes that showcase the depth and diversity of flavors from this beautiful country. From the soul-soothing Borscht to the indulgent Varenyky, each dish is a masterpiece that reflects the chef's dedication to preserving and celebrating authentic Ukrainian flavors. The signature dishes at Rondel are nothing short of remarkable. The roasted meat melted in my mouth with a perfect blend of textures and tastes. And let's not forget the mouthwatering Deruny (potato pancakes) that left me craving more. The staff at Rondel embodies the spirit of Ukrainian hospitality, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel like a cherished guest. Their genuine passion for sharing their culture and cuisine shines through in their attentive service, ensuring that every visit is a memorable and personalized experience. From the first bite to the last, every moment spent here is a tribute to the flavors, traditions, and hospitality of Ukraine. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a local looking for an exceptional dining experience, Rondel is a must-visit destination that promises to transport you on a delicious journey to the heart of Ukraine. I left with a heart full of gratitude and a palate eager to return for more.

Came all the way from Canada. It was a last minute funeral and we were lucky to find this place. Booked this place for around 25 people. Food was delicious and the service great! Will recommend to anyone! Thank you guys for the awesome experience!

UKRAINE 🇺🇦
Eat the World NYC review:
The block of Coney Island Avenue between Avenue P and Quentin Road has become sort of a Black Sea dining destination over the years, with the nations that surround this continent-straddling body of water almost all represented within a few meters of each other.

Ukrainian cuisine might be seen through at least two different lenses if you look beyond the names of common dishes. The first would be if we had a Ukrainian grandmother and visited her in Kiev during holidays, enjoying the feasts she prepared for the family using recipes passed down from her mother and grandmother. The second, and the lense in which Ukrainian food is seen here at Rondel, is that in which some of its dishes were co-opted by the Soviet Union after its creation and became part of the spectrum of Soviet foods enjoyed throughout the vast empire. Foods from Ukraine and the Caucasus, particularly Georgia, become well-known and beloved throughout after the first world war.

For this reason, you will notice some differences between the food here and the simple preparations at Streecha in the East Village. Waves of Ukrainian immigration has landed many tens of thousands of people in the East Village since the end of the 1800's, whereas the Russian-dominated landscape of South Brooklyn and its foods is more Soviet-style.
