Dr. Tsaknis was able to fit me in for an emergency when my normal dentist couldn’t. His staff was super helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. The office was clean and easy to find. Dr. Tsaknis took the time to really explain and walk through what my issue was and what my options were. Had a great experience!
I'm terrified of the dentist, and definitely not a fan of being in the exam chair. But CityDental is different. They are honest, caring, and go through the process at your pace.
The technicians listen vs. talking at you, and Dr. Tsaknis does the same. He makes his professional recommendations and explains why, then listens to your concerns. He does not force a treatment on you. It's why I trust them more than any other dentist I have been to in DC.
If you're looking for a great Dentist and want one worth traveling too, this is the practice to go to.

Caution to new patients: this dentist will happily book an appoinment, then call then night before to inform you they won't see new patients without first several hundred dollars worth of panoramic exray scans not covered by insurance. Purely there to make profit not serve patients.
I love the care received from Dr. Laura Styron, very professional and they did a great job with my dental work. This review is more about the quality of customer service. During COVID they instituted a $16 per patient fee for PPE, reasonable. They continue to charge a $16 fee but it's just a surcharge with no explanation of what that money goes to. In addition, I requested in writing my medical records and / or any form I have to sign to receive the records and they still haven't sent it to me after 4-5 business days. I need those records to send to my new dentist. *Edit* as of 08/18/2023 they supposedly no longer charge the $16 fee and the medical release form has finally been sent
I have been going to City Dental DC as a patient of Dr. Styron for five years for cleanings, exams, and most recently, Invisilign. My wife is also a patient. Overall we're very pleased with the City Dental team. Dr. Styron fixed my traumatic edging bite, keeps my teeth clean, and makes dental visits as easy as possible. What more could I ask for? I recommend Dr. Styron and the City Dental DC team to anyone looking for a quality dental team in the DC area.
Honestly the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. They will try to schedule multiple appointments to accomplish what every other dentist can accomplish in one (they wanted me to schedule multiple appointments cause they couldn't take x-rays of my teeth and clean them in the same appointment, despite every other dentist managing to do so). They will push you to spend as much as possible. Their tactics make me seriously doubt the legitimacy of any of their dental diagnoses (I can imagine them telling you you have 12 cavities and that it is critical that they take out all your teeth, give you dentures, and that those dentures will need braces immediately). There are better dentists with better intentions. Go elsewhere.

I would recommend them to anyone who wants the best of all worlds in a dentist. Dr. Laura Styron was absolutely amazing, and kept me informed every step of the way. I am one who is very nervous about going to the dentist, but City Dental DC is the absolute best!
