District Properties

They are a horrible company, they use nothing but subcontractors that get paid based on how fast they finish the construction so the quality is poor. District Properties lies and guarantees things they never intend to deliver. The shell of the house looks good but problems will happen as their subs rush through jobs to get paid. I had roof leaks and pipe leaks in the second year of having a brand new house. Don’t buy!!!

I have been sounding the alarm for 2 years. My AC is broken, now we have no heat in the house. Siding on the house is broken. No accountability. This company needs to be investigated, and license must stop being issued. They come into poor communities build beautiful looking homes, but horrible craftsmanship. They sell people hope and dreams to own there own home, but all you receive at time of closing are nightmares.

I would maybe buy one of their homes in Mclean, VA or Upper Upper NW, but if you buy on in one of the less fortunate sections of town....be ready to spend money to make repairs! Siding has come off, AC unit has stopped working & a host of other issues. I have only been in here 3 yrs! I expected issues like this 10-15 yrs down the line.

In the process of buying a house from this builder and it has been a horribel experience. As a first time home buyer this is not the experience I dreamed of having. If I could pull out without losing my EMD I would. Be sure to get everything in writing if you choose to purchase from this builder and constantly follow up even when it is in writing. After putting changes in the offer that both parties signed I was told I would not get the changes drafted in the offer. They will blow you off, lie to you and do whatever they want. Terrible customer service.

I tried to resolve a problem with District Properties. This was a request to have damages repaired caused by work done by District Properties. At first they were responsive and promised to resolve the problem. But later District Properties decided not to take responsibility for the damages caused. They were unresponsive to my repeated requests. This is a problem I’ve always had with District Properties. They are unresponsive.

The most unresponsive company ever. Their properties look nice but will fall apart as soon as you move in.
