I celebrated my birthday here with their two hour brunch and had a blast! The service and food were great (plus having a variety of gluten free options is always a rewarding treat)! I recommend the pulled chicken in homemade arepas!

Annabelle was the best server I’ve ever had. The food was phenomenal, it was a hard selection to choose. Highly recommend avocado toast.

Essex was a total vibe! I came here for bottomless brunch, and my drink was never empty. Our server, Anne, was the best! She was so kind, and kept an eye on our drinks and always made sure it was full. Shout out to Anne!!! Highly recommend coming here for the food, drinks, and vibe!

Katie and Anne went above and beyond! Absolutely amazing service and so friendly. We had a really large group for a birthday and these ladies went out of their way to make sure we were all happy. Thank you so much Katie and Anne, and the rest of the staff at Essex!

Came here for a quick happy hour around 5. Place wasn't busy yet so was able to get a high top for our party of 4 right in the front. Service was understandably good since there weren't many people there.

Happy hour specials were great. $8 speciality cocktails and $1.50 oysters (good sized) were a hit. I wish we came a little later and stayed longer because it started to fill up. Go here with confidence.

Came here for restaurant week and everything was amazing and would definitely come here again!
Our server was super nice and friendly and the food was great!
We had the charred octopus, artisanal burrata, raw oysters steak, coconuts rice pudding and chocolate olive oil cake. You can’t go wrong with any of them! The oysters were only $2 each and it was even happy hour price or anything which is so hard to come by nowadays, the app and steak was superb! The desserts were great too but the dinner was just so good that that’s what left us wanting to go back!

Helena was our super amazing waitress. She kept our glasses full throughout all of the bottomless, was extra friendly and very helpful.
And the food was absolutely dynamite. I have had brunch all around NYC, and this place is the best. Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict, but honestly… you can’t go wrong with any of the food.
