This trail along the Mississippi is really cool, definitely has been built up recently. Mini outdoor amphitheater for concerts, landing, local history dedication, benches etc. There is even access for a small public beach. It would have been fun to be here during summer when it is active. Pizza shop right next door for dinner.
We just stopped in for the vibe but enjoyed this downtown area with Riverfront Trail

Very beautiful trail in town along Mississippi River that has benches along the way, if you want to sit and take a break watching eagles & wildlife activities, and a wonderful eagle wildlife center to learn about them.

This is such a beautiful Minnesota town along the Mississippi River. This town is the scene for the movie Grumpy Old Men. Home to the National Eagle Center. Has a great downtown with lots of great shops. The river walk along the Mississippi River is beautiful and a great place to view eagles. Places to eat and stay while visiting the city and surrounding areas.

Looks pretty, but the whole area is closed in front of the Eagle Center right now. Looks like they repaved it and are building a structure at the amphitheater.

Beautiful riverfront with walking trail along the river.

Beautiful views of the Mississippi River!

This short easy walking path runs along the Mississippi River in Wabasha. Wabasha is one the few towns along the Mississippi in this area that has direct access to the riverfront. Usually you have to cross train tracks or a roadway to get from town to the actual river bank. Here you can dock at the city dock (free) and walk right into downtown. The National Eagle Center is right in town along the path. There are restaurants, etc. on the main street.
