Hadnt caught on that this was a 21+ LGBTQIA+ - safe and focused campground when I booked online. Very welcoming to all and very nice grounds and in warmer months lots of activities, themed weekends. Waived the members fee for our overnight stay. Staying again for 2 nites on our trip home and will see how they handle our non-member status with a day fee or ? May not be to everyone’s liking (and i wish it was), but it was a nice and friendly campground to a 60’s+ straight couple who were welcomed warmly.

I don’t even know where to start with this fantastic camp. But here’s what I can sum up:
1. The staff is authentically fantastic. Kevin is one of the most genuine, welcoming humans I have ever met. This was our last stop on a 9 day road trip through the northeastern US and thought we’d just get a place to rest our head. To our pleasant surprise, Kevin came and made sure we had everything we needed, and also introduced us to the other seasonal campers where we spent hours sharing stories and enjoying each other’s company.
2. The facilities and extremely clean—whether it’s your campsite, shower house, or decorated RV properties. My mouth dropped when I found out this place is merely 2 years old! It’s efficiently maintained as if it had been there a decade or two.
3. Whether you’re a gay camping veteran or new to it (like me), you will be embraced and welcomed in a way that you rarely see.
If I say anymore about this place, I will be taking away from your own experience so I’ll stop here. My expectations were to stop for a night and head out in the morning and now I’m planning my next trip back in October.
Thank you, Camp Out, for every memory. I can’t wait to see you, Kevin, Jessie, and the best in house masseuse you could ask for!

This place is awesome. I only recently found out about it, and I am glad I did. The staff is so nice it's almost weird 😄.
They cater to all lifestyles and have nightly events on the weekends.
I liked it so much that I don't even take my camper back home with me anymore. I'll have it stored at the campground, and I'll just keep going there from now on.
The sites with water get good pressure, and there are many sites with electricity too. It is reliable, and there are different amperage sites. Very convenient.
They are also quite reasonable with their pricing.
Give it a shot. No matter if you are a social butterfly or prefer privacy and quiet, you will like this place.

Allow me to start my giving my wholehearted recommendation to stay here. This place is in one word: magical. I booked 3 days and ended up staying 4 because I was enjoying myself so much. The property is absolutely beautiful for a campground, very clean and well maintained. One thing I immediately noticed was the lack of poison ivy. Despite being in the woods they are really on top of it and the small bit I brought to their attention was quickly dealt with.
The sprawling property covers I believe they said 68 acres which is much larger then I was able to comprehend even being there, this campground is HUGE and just wonderful to wander around. While wandering I was frequently stopped by a fellow camper to have a chat, a cup of tea or a cold drink. Everyone was so wonderfully welcoming from the moment I pulled onto the property.
My days were gentle and relaxing, breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the sun while laying in the grass or hiking around the grounds. The evenings were serene and quiet around the campsite with millions of stars and hopping down around the bonfire. Lots of laughs were had, many stories shared and new friendships formed.
On the day I was unfortunately heading back to reality I was stuck in paradise for a little bit longer while they were actively improving the front drive. I could really see all the love the staff and owner puts into this place and their efforts have not gone unnoticed. If my past stay is any indication of things to come, Camp Out is only beginning to shine in their now 2nd season. I've already booked a few more trips for this season and will be getting a seasonal site there for next year.
The atmosphere and general vibe is very relaxed and friendly. I felt extremely comfortable even around people that would usually intimidate me with their looks. It really didn't matter what you looked like, we were all there to just be our true selves and enjoy existing in nature with each other; it really was a beautiful feeling.
There was a spot for "evening activities" although not advertised or really talked about. It was there if it was needed, a relatively safe looking place to play. I really liked that there was a space, but that it wasn't really a focus on anyone's mind. It's not a really sexual minded campground at least from what I could tell and that took a lot of pressure off my mind.
The bathrooms were spotless and I noticed someone cleaning quite often. The outdoor shower stalls are amazing. The hot water is a little bit of a learning curve but once I figured it out it was fantastic. The stalls are brand new and very spacious. Just enough to feel outside in nature but not so much that you feel like you're putting on a show. They really did a great job with the facilities so far, everything that could be was very clean and comfortable.
If you've made it this far reading and haven't already started figuring out when you want to go, I have done something wrong in explaining how amazing this place is. I had the most amazing time here and would love for you to also experience the magic that is Camp Out.

This past weekend, we decided to check out this new campground. Upon arrival, the staff gave us a golf cart tour of the sprawling campground, and we were pleased with their friendliness. Our site had access to electric and water; the site was level but small and close to other sites. Unfortunately, the water quality was poor - it was murky, highly acidic, and gritty. While they provided us with an in-line water filter upon arrival, it became clogged after our three-night stay.
The campground is currently undergoing improvements. However, there were limited restrooms and shower facilities for its size. Before Camp OUT, this campground was the Foxwood campground, which was close and abandoned, leaving many deteriorating buildings and debris behind. The new owners are commendably working diligently to address this issue and clean up the area.
I have uploaded some campground images showing the positives and negatives. Despite the drawbacks, we do not regret staying here and suggest that others should visit and judge for themselves.

My fiancé and I visited for Labor Day weekend and we had such a blast! The campground itself was great and the staff were unbelievably nice and helpful! We enjoyed all the events..especially the Den with Darrius and friends! And drag bingo. We can’t wait to come back! So grateful for this place. Thanks Steves’ and staff!

Mostly enjoyable weekend. Entering the camp is so ugly to look at as my friends who have a perm said the same. Nothing amazing about it. I asked my partner is anyone here it looks so empty out of a Friday the 13th movie. Paying $35 extra for a membership is crazy on arrival. Maybe I don’t want one ? Can I try this out first?
Couple kinks that have to be worked out. 1: The rocks on the camp sites were horrid; you need shoes to walk around. 2: Lights and Lights! Lights PLEASE ! Absolutely need solar lights or something at night. It’s pitch dark, you can fall (or get run over) (as I heard a lady scream last night at 1:00 am and woke me up) I had to use my phone light everywhere I went. 3: Cars! We were in the A tent site and had to come home a day earlier we got no sleep due to the horrid dj music until 1 am and cars flashing their lights all over and driving. Yes you have to drive everywhere. Should invest in golf cart rentals and workers that can bring you around if you need it. Please also invest in a coffee house or something. The Woods is the place to go and have fun, but I will give this place a go in two years when they worked out their kinks.
PS the drag show was literally 1 minute long which was very disappointing. Good luck !

Philly and NYC's newest LGBTQ camping destination is a must-visit! The staff is kind and helpful, and there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained all weekend. The facilities are top-notch, including air-conditioned lounges with TVs and a piano, a dance area, and a heated pool with awesome views. Outdoor showers are spacious and feature individual instant heaters. You can even rent a tent if you don't have your own gear. They're always improving and adding more to the amenities and entertainment offerings. Looking forward to the new season!
