Elmwood Park Public Library

Clean and neat, well organized library.

Good attention, a good Staff, and they did an excellent job reneuving it. This place now looks like new.

Library is really nice and plenty of space to study and read but teenagers working there behind the counter are very loud and noisy.
It’s very distracting if you want to study there.

Plenty of accommodations to make my visit more pleasant. I liked the customer service from Chris very much, it was my first time visiting as well to acquire a new library card Chris was very helpful. Also I'm very happy that there is also an elevator which is more than convenient for myself since I'm Disabled.

I love how organized and clean it is with plenty of tables and space. I especially like the children's program. Ms. Leann is a wonderful teacher!

Some of the librarian are nice, but it's not a family-friendly library, structurally and attitude wise. The children's section is small and part of the adult library.. which doesn't allow the kids to be "kids"... very hush-hush. The staff is at minimal awkward with children and at most outwardly agitated. There is no diaper changing station and one of the librarians once discouraged me from breastfeeding and changing my newborn's diaper there! The lady who runs story time is very nice though.

I live their toddler story time. The librarian is exceptional, but of course she is,she use to work as a teacher. She is nice, caring, warm, considerate, with both adults and children. I can say this bc I have gone to at least 4 other libraries and by far her ST masters them all. Thank you for making us feel welcomed. Ms. Lee

The people working there are so rude! I asked about getting a new card because I lost mine and the woman's response was sarcastic "Get a new one".(NO DUH!) OK, I DON'T WORK AT A LIBRARY SO I DON'T KNOW HOW IT WORKS!!! Then she tells me that checkout is on the other side but no one was there. I had ordered books that I was really looking forward to reading but I just left them there and walked out. I never want to go back there. I will go out of my way to another library. I don't know who to complain to but they shouldn't treat people like that.
