Absolutely amazing. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. We wanted a traditional Dutch meal and the waiter made some great recommendations. The stamppots were delicious!! The appetizers were amazing as well. You can't go wrong with this place.

We found this place on Google Maps with many good recommendations and, as far as we know, Dutch soul food on the menu. We were lucky to get a seat because a few minutes later people had to wait to get a table.
We ordered a couple of classic Dutch appetizers and one main course each. We got everything pretty quickly considering how many guests came in around the same time. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. From my perspective as a person living in Switzerland, the price was reasonable.

Good dinner in a traditional restaurant. The food was exquisite, especially the dessert! The place was a bit crowded as it was too little and the tables were placed too near(so I do not give 5 stars) Recommended!

Very cosy restaurant with well prepared dutch cuisine. It was a busy evening so the service was a little slow and we had to wait for our food for a while, but it was still acceptable. The food was tasty, however, my steak was not rare as I ordered, but rather well done.

Saw this on google and the reviews were nice, wanted to try some Dutch cuisine. Walked in today as it wasn’t as busy, the place looked nice and there was a table with some British people inside that seemed to be on a tour. (They were finishing up) We got a seat inside for 3, and sat close to the window to the front. It took us at least 7 minutes from the moment we sat down to receive the menus, at this time the table of 8 had finished and wrapped up their bill.

It took them another 7 minutes, to take our order and another 20-25 minutes to receive our food. Please note that when we sat down we didn’t get any water for the table.

We got our food, we ordered the pork fillet, pea soup and the Dutch beefsteak. Pork fillet was tough, salad was visibly old (you could see it wilted) fries that came with both this and the beefsteak were over fried. It was like potato chips.. the creamy peppercorn sauce and gravy were good. Pea soup was thick and I wouldn’t call it a soup .. more like a pudding consistency (thick).

Whilst waiting for our food another 4 persons came in and was directed to the table next to ours at the front window. As they sat, instantly received menus and water for the table. This was very noticeable as at this time, it was only us and three other tables inside.

Not sure if the service is not the same across for all customers but it felt uncomfortable. I was going to stay for dessert but unfortunately cut this short because of this service. Been to another place nearby and the service was completely different.

Do better.

If you're looking for authentic, traditional Dutch cuisine such as stamppot, you have found the place. Reservations are necessary because this converted home does not have ample space. We were fortunate enough to get a dinner reservation amid the tour groups, which seemed to fill the unsuspecting building. The kitchen is upstairs, bathrooms in the basement, and the dining space and bar are on the first floor. The sights and smells are intoxicating, the service is top notch, and the meal was delicious. Be sure to leave room for dessert. An unforgettable meal in Amsterdam.

The menu has a bit more vegetarian options than other restaurants on the same street. They offer vegetarian stamp pot! It served with choice veggie and cheese croquettes and butter sauce. While the cheese croquettes were excellent, I feel like the stamp pot could benefit from meat gravy of sort for that umami. The vegetarian pie was jam packed with shredded veggie and thin crust, very different than American-style pie, that was super good, served with a sizable salad. I’m glad I tried the stamp pot but I think the vegetarian pie was a better vegetarian option.

Great place with traditional Dutch cuisine with reasonable prices.
Pea soup, stamppot with beef and liver were super tasty, herring had to much onion as for me and you could find buyer options on the street
Also, you’d better book a table in advance as it’s pretty crowded during the lunch time.
