Really cool, little train museum. The train simulation from Jackson to Grass Lake was fun and educational.
This place was a very pleasant surprise and a very informative museum. The Lost Railroad refers to the interurban passenger system that once ran across the bottom of southern Michigan from Lake Erie to Lake Michigan. The virtual train ride was a hoot and a half. This is not a expansive place but we spent a leisurely hour there wondering through the museum, watching an introduction video, viewing the exhibits and riding the Virtual train. Very fun!
There is no admission or even a suggested donation but it seems to me five to ten bucks a head would go a long way to keep the lights and heat on here. The team of Lost RR volunteers should be proud of what they have accomplished! Whole heartedly FIVE STARS!

Absolutely loved this museum! Fun for all ages! It's free admission but donations are welcomed!
Totally enjoyed our visit to this small museum. The history of rail in this area via a short video was nice, and the 3D train ride was very unique. Very happy with this stop.
This is really a hidden gem and well beyond my expectation for a small museum in a small town. The historical station and trains are very interesting. The simulated train ride is a must and quite realistic with jolting.
A fantastic little museum that has a rich history of the urban rail. Not only are there a lot of interactive lessons showing how transportation changed drastically in the early 1900s, but you were able to step aboard some of the expertly restored urban railcars. The staff at the museum were incredibly kind and the museum itself was great.
Cute little museum with a ton of fun history. Nothing massive, but you get a very nice glimpse into life at the turn of the century. They have a few train cars that are mid-restoration and very well restored. There's a very kind and knowledgeable curator who spent a lot of time with my family explaining everything. Free (buy donate, please!) and worth an hour of your day.
