Der Goldene Wok

After going to the flohmarkt at Höchts, my friends and I were very tired and hungry. We decided to find a budget-friendly restaurant where we could eat well. We opted for a buffet-style restaurant with a variety of delicious foods, including self-cook and grill options. It was unlimited, so we could eat as much as we wanted. It was perfect for satisfying our empty stomachs, and we enjoyed indulging in the abundance of food. We highly recommend this restaurant, as our €23 per head was truly worth it. In addition to the savory dishes, they offer a variety of sweets like cakes, chocolates, and ice cream for dessert. The staff were extremely friendly and assisted us very well throughout our meal.Thank you so much Der Goldene Wok - Chinese Restaurant.

We visited the restaurant on New Year's Eve last week. We ordered open buffet. There were just a few foods and meat options. They have only donuts, ice cream, and simple chocos in the dessert section. There was nothing unique, even for the Chinese new year. The service was also not so good. We were about to leave at 3 pm, but received an important phone call. The waiter came to our table with the bill without waiting us to finish the call, such a shame. I gave two stars because the restaurant is next to the river, the view is good.

The buffet was interesting and the prices fair. The waitress was excellent. I am removing one star due to one of the cooks. I mistakenly brought my plate to him and he was trying to redirect me. However, he became rude when I said I don't understand and asked him to repeat. I have hearing problems. Maybe it was a misunderstanding or he was stressed.

What can I say?

The location is outside the busy city centre. Trams 21 & 11 ply to the location. Exit at Nied Kirche.

Evening buffet is what we chose and since we arrived early it wasn’t quite busy and finding a seat was just so easy. It’s good to do a reservation in advance.

The service team were polite and kind. Yes, some of them don’t speak German or English fluently. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t care.

The food tasted great & Fresh.
We tried the grilled meat and also fish with sauce #2 on the menu. I think the latter stole the show.

The tiny cake with grater coconut was poetic.

‘All you can eat needn’t be gluttony- it can be just some Wok buffet, some rice with duck and sauce and some nice cake in the end.
After all we eat to live and not live to eat.

One star less for the condition & maintenance of the toilets & washbasin. I thought they should really improve there for the better.

Recommendable- Yes!

The all you can eat is cheap but very very low quality , the sushi pieces contain tomato instead of salmon 😅 and some canned tuna, the quantity is ok but the quality is way below average. I recommend to take more money and enhance the quality.

A big place with a nice buffet. I was surprise by the variety of food you can choose. They even have hot pot where u can cook some fresh and frozen products. You can also choose some ingredients and let the chefs cook it for you. The only downside is the left overs and dirty plates are very visible on the hallway and very close to our table. It’s not pleasant especially when you are eating. The staffs were very friendly and attentive. I think the price was reasonable if you think of all the food that you can eat if you are a eater.
