Incredible store filled with a wide array of fabulous mid century modern lighting and furnishings. Very knowledgeable and personable staff and fair prices. Will stop in again soon.

I just picked up several lamps from their Maxsold auction and am very disappointed in their quality. On one lamp the bottom of the shade doesn’t stay on, and the quality of the piece was much worse than how it was shown and described (dents, scratches, an attempt to sand away imperfections and just leaving it as is). One chrome lamp was just covered in scratches, despite the vast majority of them not being visible in the photos. Overall the photos posted were very misleading regarding the quality of the pieces. i find vintage store’s classifications of quality (i.e. good, excellent) very subjective. It is difficult to understand the severity of the imperfections and the overall quality of the piece, if it isn’t reflected accurately in the photos. so I guess either check their stuff out in person, or really make sure the quality is as is appears online.

This company is garbage, use to be go to papers but now cant even get 20 out of 100 papers to stick or not rip. Please dont buy them anymore and quit giving companies that have botched products. They dont care about us at all anymore.

Joe is a gentleman and has an amazing shop. Highly recomended if you want nice lamps and uniquely chosen pieces

I had a seamless experience buying a lamp from Joe online - found it on Instagram and he met me curb-side for an easy pickup. The lamp was exactly as advertised.

I went into this store a number of years ago to ask if they might be able to suggest someone to reupholster some furniture I had gotten from a family member. I knew the people working as they would frequently be in the cafe I worked in.

Both of the two men who were in the store laughed at me and said that they didn't know anyone that I could afford.

I ended up finding a place and these beautiful pieces were done perfectly which is wonderful. But, I am upset by the way the staff treated me.

Best MCM lighting selection I’ve seen in the GTA. A few stores have more inventory, but none are this well-edited. Some good furniture finds, too. It’s been around as long as I’ve been in Toronto—over 15 years. Also nice that he tells you about an item’s imperfections up front. Even hard-to-spot things like a non-original bolt, etc.
