I accidentally discovered that there is such a quiet trail surrounded by woods in Fairfax, which is very surprising. There are several playgrounds along the trail, which are great for taking children to play.

I go through this trail all the time when I am biking to Fairfax. Although some parts of the trail are not paved, it is very clean and peaceful. I especially like the spot by Blenheim Blvd. with the benches and it is the perfect spot to take a break in with the view of the bridge. It sure is very nice and peaceful park for walking and biking!

Do I technically like bigger waterfalls and more scenic landscape views? Sometimes yes. But is this park perfect without those things? Absolutely yes. The trails are lovely, some are easy and some are a tiny bit challenging, but you can choose pretty much just by looking and it’s not so big that if you decide you don’t like the path you took, you can go back. However, at the same time (the real strength of this place being in the middle of a few small neighborhoods), you can feel lost in this park if you want to. I like to sit by the creek because I can tell that other people exist, but I can’t usually see them. So you’re safe, you’re with society, but you’re also one with nature. A+++.

A peaceful and enchanting park in the busy town center of Fairfax City with tall trees and well-paved trails next to Daniels Run Creek. It is a place of nature beauty.

We walked on the trail through the forest, we enjoyed how spacious it was. I didn't see much to this park, though. A peaceful walk through woods in a convenient location.

Great trail, beautiful park. The trails are fine gravel, but you can take a stroller if it's a hardier one (umbrella strollers won't cut it). There's a small playground at one end. If you go a little off the trail, there are fun surprises like a wooden fort and wooden teepee made by people in the neighborhood.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Monsters in the Park activity! The trails were well maintained and lots of access points from nearby neighborhoods. Rumor has it that a holiday themed "hunt" is planned for later in 2020. We will be back!
