It's a great small park for an early morning walk, and you can enjoy fresh air, greenery, and nature without having to travel far to a larger park.

Nice lake to go for a brisk Walk
This is the only public park in the City of Fairfax with signs that state “Park Closed At Dark No Trespassing”

A cute little park behind an apartment complex. Has porta potties available (one of which is disability friendly) in the parking lot and the lot itself is a good size. Two climbing gyms, tennis courts, a soccer field, two swing sets with four swings each (one set has two baby swings) and a large covered pavilion with many picnic tables. Small trails loop around the soccer field and tennis courts and there are trash cans available everywhere including on the trail. Very pretty and we will be visiting again!

This is a nice sports park. It has loads of fields and open spaces for anything from a pickup game of basketball to a rugby scrimmage. It doesn't have a lot of parking so you may want to carpool if you have a group. Parking is not shaded. It's a great spot to bring a Frisbee or football and let off some steam.

Nice park with a good running/walking trail. The playground is well-kept and large enough. They have a small play area for smaller children, and it's entertaining enough for 10+ year olds. The lake is a fun place to let the kids see the ducks, fish, and turtles. There are no restrooms but they usually have a porta-potty. The parking can get busy (small parking lot) but usually there is a place to park. Overall, one of our favorites that is right down the road.

We love ratcliffe park. Two large playgrounds great for younger and school aged kids. Many swings and a large pavilion with picnic tables. There are also 2 port-a-potties

Not a lot of shade in the middle of summer, but has some shaded picnic tables for a break from hard playing. Really good play areas for climbing, sliding, traversing rope, with safety for little ones. Best to park in the parking lot on the north side, up hill from the playground, to avoid the street traffic to the south.
Great park! Easy peasy street parking (off-road, gravel) covered picnic area, big play structures. Good obstacle course for little ones. Shady benches and one structure is covered. Love it!
A park of tranquility and nature beauty. The gorgeous long-span bridge over the creek is a picturesque centerpiece of the park. The north end of the foot bridge is Pickett Road and the south end is at the intersection of Pickett Road and Twinbrook Road. The trails along the creek are well maintained and relatively easy to access. Hiking along the trails are rewarded with nature beauty and enchanting wilderness all the way.
I enjoyed this hidden trail. It's definitely hidden in the back of a neighborhood. It's a big loop with a tennis court & basketball court you walk past on the trail. Only 1 really good view near the highway that was the only con.

Decent baseball field with a nice playground, open grass area, and basketball courts. I have found a place to park every time I have gone to this park (at least one day each week for the past month during the week around 5:30), but there is limited parking and I could see a busy day forcing people to park in the neighborhood across the street.

This park was a great accidental find. We were at GMU to pick up our "Cache of the Day” on a Wednesday morning in May and decided to get our 4000 steps in the beautiful neighborhood across University Drive. As we walked the neighborhood we saw a path that led to Providence Park. What a nice surprise. We even met a couple of super friendly neighborhood dogs in the park. There are trails for hiking and strolling, and nice playground equipment, and a picnic pavilion, tennis courts, and an open field and a parking lot. What more could you want?
Kinda hidden, very cool and calm. Swing set and basketball court. Cool little bridge over the stream and a small trail on either side. Great greenery and good way to place to walk. It is located right in the middle of a neighborhood.

Great soccer ,baseball field. Turf field for soccer.
Basic restroom design, but ofcourse a plus point. But needed to search for it. Aminute or two ,Walk parallel to the soccer field, right in front of the parking, and take right diagonal for the restrooms

This lakeside park is a hidden gem! The location is stunning and the park is very well-maintained. There are plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the lake views. It's perfect for a picnic, a stroll or just to sit and take in the scenery. I highly recommend taking your friends, family and pets on a beautiful day to the Lakeside Park, you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful little walks through what i believe might be county parkland. I think trails are maintained by local residents

This paved trail around the lake is 0.66 mile long. Most of the trail has trees or bushes that block the view of the lake. I was able to see the lake whenever there's an opening in the trees/bushes. The lake looks ok close up, and the highlight is the water fountain. The view of the lake when on Fairfax County Parkway is the most beautiful view. When on the parkway, there is where the OX Hill historical marker is located. This trail is shaded. Very dogfriendly. There is a basketball court located next to the lake, and a playground with a picnic table. The trail starts at the tennis court with a parking lot and another playground. There are other points where you can hop onto the trail depending on where your home is.
Fairly nice trail. I probably need to go back out again when it hasn't rained the day before though. Parking worked out ok but I do worry if someone had tried to tow me or something.

I love unique climbing structures, this was such a hit with my kids. It’s a big playground and there are large fields as well.

Downsides are…the parking situation is not ideal and there is no bathroom. There is a lower level parking garage which is tricky to find. No real shade but that was sick in the evening.

Nice lake next to townhomes and adjacent to Fairfax County Parkway. There is a fountain in the middle, a basketball court and a small playground. There is a trail that is mostly shaded when I went for a walk. Overall pretty good, except for some noise from the highway.
Is good for experience, have a good water fall

Been coming here for past 5 years for walks, bike rides, occupying our 5 year old. Paths are a bit narrow for biking but manageable. Very scenic. Watch out for the green heron in the area; it’s rare to be in this region.

Great address. Open to all. Restrooms available nearby as well! There is a basketball court with for rings! A tennis and a baseball field which is big and open. Parking spots available as well.
Good park and the weather was perfect.
Unsure where to park. We followed the sign for Gateway parking which took us to the entrance of some industrial site. Wasn't sure if we could park there with all of the trucks going in and out.

We went to this park because we thought it connected to a trail, turns out the trail is on the other side of the creek. Maybe the broken bridge in the parking lot was supposed to provide access.
If you want a small quiet park to play soccer or frisbee or do some running, this is a beautiful little kind of hidden spot.
It is a beautiful place to either play with your little ones, enjoy some picnic among the woods, or just walk, run or relax. It has 3 baseball fields and 2 soccer fields. It is a dog friendly park however they must be kept on a leash. Its a Mile and half around the boundaries of this park if am not mistaken and the paths are nicely laid down for running or walking. It also has a lot of parking around the park.
Wonderful paved trail for a stroller walk! We took it for about 3 miles and enjoyed the abundant nature and playgrounds!

Small lake park in the middle of a community largely of townhomes. Nice walking trails. Visited to see the loon that has become stuck in the lake and become a local attraction. There is nice access to the north side of the lake with a small parking lot off of Tall Timbers Drive and North Lake Drive and Court. Was worth the stop.

Great park for everybody specially families who would like to take their kids for a full day of activities from young kids enjoying the play ground tables to sit down I need also basketball soccer and baseball fields and not to forget about the beautiful lake and feeding the ducks You can also bring your own boat and enjoy a beautiful journey in the water and take tons of pictures as well as taking a hike in the forest and enjoy a beautiful adventure .
Tucked into the neighborhood here. Pleasant, but not necessarily a destination park. If you live nearby, though, I'm sure it's a great place to walk.
Want sure what to park and it took a while to find picnic tables
Decent park with nice path to walk through. Though it's quite hidden and not easy to find. Walk is good fun

Great park, although wish the company responsible for maintaining the porter potty would actually clean it out not just come through and mark the log😷💩🤦‍♂️
Not a park, just an empty lot with a couple picnic tables, a lot of bugs, and a few sketchy abandoned looking vehicles.

Good place for walking and playing. Kids zone is available for kids. People can bring their pets. We can hang out during holidays and weekends grill section equipment is in the park. Football ground is available for teems and youth can spend their time to enjoy here. Along with these tennis court is there in the park for people to pratice and have fun. Parking is available for people. Overall I loved it and I enjoy the nature one or the other day whenever I visit Providence Park.

We go to this place for soccer. It is veri accessible from the main rod right off 50. Plenty of parking around. The restroom although basic is a nice amenity. There are batting cages, baseball fields, tennis courts. Plenty of space to play and watch.
Beautiful park full of native Virginia native plants in most section. Lush ferns, mayapples, and swamp lettuce in some sections, black berry ticket in others. The park harbors multiple district zones of different types of plant life all alone a meandering stream. Good for evening walks, walking your dog, mountain biking, and ecology classes. Very calm and apart from the surrounding neighborhoods.

We loved this park, little hidden away, but great park for taking a walk, enjoy the views, very relaxing, lots of turtles in the lake, a lot of fun!
Franklin Glen Park is very nice! At first you will see.the scoccer field but behind it is a trail that let's you roam under a nice forest with streams, wood Bridges and it is common to see several deers eating peacefully in the bush. I just love it. The trail ok is connected to several ones in the Franklin Glen community I think 9.1 miles of trails.

The park isn't really on the street like the photo says. Locals refer to this park as "hippo park"
This is a small park with the advantage of having a covered, raised area with benches in case you'd like to have a picnic in any kind of weather. There are picnic benches and grills available outside the shelter but they can get muddy/flooded very easily. There's a water fountain (yay!) but the park itself is not very scenic or nice just due to its location at the intersection of two fairly busy roads and being open/exposed. I'm glad it's there but it would not be my park of choice.
