Camp Blodgett

I was a young leader this last summer, I was not impressed at all- I remember when I was young looking at the young leaders seeing them actually happy, and enjoying themselves- Since the YL coordinator switch I heard, and saw how bad it was- We were lowkey bullied by staff, treated like children and then in turn the kids saw us as children and didn't listen if we told them to behave. I felt soooooo alone and depressed and like all the staff hated us. The coordinators were rude, and unkind- We got to have no fun such as going to the beach after working all day, hanging out, and overall the experience we were promised was all bull- oh and I personally didnt get to have any fun at all with the children such as the activates- so yeah safe to say I only went in 1 out of the 3 weeks I had- my mom was in the hospital and my life was crumbling so I ran to camp thinking id be a better place to be for the summer- and it just was the biggest let down of all time

My daughters and grands always have a great experience at Blodgett camp... can't wait for next summer camp sessions 🎊🎉..just hate that they don't include weekends 😭

I love camp Blodgett I have been going for 7 years and when I say this can is awesome I mean it!! Great food and great experiences!!!

Has this place improved since the '90s? Even though I told them my son had a serious recent head injury, they put him in the top bunk (3 high) and he fell and got another concussion. They would not help with medical bills incurred. My other son was terribly bullied and beat up by other campers, a trauma that remained with him for years. It was one of the worst decisions I ever made as a parent to send them there.

Great summer camp for kids to go to make friends and learn how to clean up after themselves abd shows kids how to be respectful to others

The after school programming is amazing! The changes we've seen in the past 8 months to a year make us very hopeful for Camp Blogetts future in West Michigan and we look forward to see how they continue to serve our community.
