A small but beautiful garden in the midst of the hustle and grind of Soho. Statues stay watch in this serene escape from the craziness that the city brings. You can immediately feel a sense of calm as you pass through the gates into this little beautiful getaway.

There is seating spattered throughout the park and it is a beautiful place just to sit, sip a coffee and get lost in a daydream.

Hidden Gem, nice for a short walk/relax. Amazing how quickly you can disassociate yourself from the city in here

Lots of places near by to get food or a coffee to take in and relax. Have also attended the movie nights a few times which were great

I love this garden, i love to sit there and talk to people from the neighborhood. I love the very social way this garden has been designed, the only thing that I don’t like are the volunteers there who most of the time are profiling people getting in and give an attitude. I unfortunately now ignore them most of the time over having a discussion with them. They must contribute in a good way to what the garden needs I’m sure but the attitude they are serving is absolutely out of the point.

Lovely little neighborhood garden but not enough seats. People hog the seats for hours. You can come in and look around but it’s hard for everyone to sit and enjoy the beauty. A nice idea though.

Great hidden place to walk and sit, especially with good weather. Apparently the city is trying to tear it down to develop a building.

Gorgeous community garden and courtyard in the middle of busy Soho. A beautiful little break inside a bustling city. Great place to stop and eat after grabbing a hero at Parisi or pizza from prince st.

Make sure to donate as there are corporations gunning for it to be torn down and made into apartments! That would be a big shame!

In the super-crowded Soho/Nolita neighborhoods, this garden is an oasis. The highlight is the many architectural remnants, but there are a few unique trees of note. Friendly volunteers, be sure to chat up one of the gardeners if present. When I worked in the neighborhood, the garden was essential, with its urban beauty and plenty of areas to sit down and relax.

The city wants to take over the spot to sell to a developer (probably to build a generic glass tower), so it’s been an ongoing legal battle to save this community garden, which is the only green spot to be found for blocks.

Help save the garden! Even if you only visit the area occasionally, this oasis is so important to the community and visitors alike!
