I still am waiting for help for cityfheps since 2021staff keep lying to me and HRA staff they never follow through, is HUD program not NYC street cash. Run it right for tenants and stop their way.

Visited 1981 Sedgewick Ave office today 11/8 9:05 am.seeking assistance for recent college grade with City Fheps Voucher for recent college grad who would be homeless by 1/1/24. Receptionist asked were any vhildren in household if there were not Homebase/Help USA could not help us we were given hand written list of brokers, hand written form for HRA center 44. This is not help nor is it stemming the tide if shelter residents. Discrim 311 wqs called to cokplain about this dituationination to single individuals

Terrible I went to get help for my rent arrears they give me appointment and I knew what to bring they started to looking my documents and keep asking how many people we are living in I told them 4 she was keeping asking me again and again and then she told me my score is 4 which is I am not qualified for their program I have to have Eviction notice or court letter to have 7 points and then they was going to help me and she was holding us in there documents all over the table
She gave us address where to apply for one shot deal
One shot deal told me I need to have some income otherwise they can’t help me so I don’t know where to get help I’m disable and can’t work I have wife and 2 kids now I don’t know the future hopefully I’m not going to end up in the street!!

The guy who was there to help me over 8 year's ago was very respectful. Helped me get housing when I definitely needed it. The Security there were never polite. Always had a very nasty attitude. People are there to get help. Not rudeness or disrespect of any kind.

The worst place that you could go for help the staff is unprofessional and lazy they don't follow up on the clients cases Yo a supervisor marlene lawrence put the wrong address on the w9 form and the checks were misplaced for a client she never followed up the client never got to move into their apartment. when contacted [ homebase ] she did not even care they blamed the error on H.R.A and the u.s. mail. Now the apartment management wants the client to give up the apartment they contact the homebase supervisor Marlene Lawrence and tell her to have her client come and falsely sign a form or they cannot move in. the form was false is to release the apartment and marlene lawrence did it. now that client is without an apartment The worst part is the excutive director for that branch Melissa Lopez is aware and allowed that to happen. when legal aid heard this they were like a homebase worker must never send their clients to sign anything before having a copy of that paperwork first. WELL I HOPE THEY LEARN

Ima make it clear and simple .. from the first floor up mice and cockroaches infest evey apartments the staff is no help there easy to forget about and not talking about the front deck the case managers and staff come just to sit in there office . Maintenance don’t work at all unless u pester them over and over .. call 311 and complain so this place gets shut down .. only good thing here is the park for my kids and i guess the tap water smh
