Porterhouse Restaurant

Seafood chowder was amazing. Tasted of a balance of spice and favour packed full of fish. We also had the prawns which were perfectly cooked in a beautiful sauce. Then, not that we needed more food, the Brie and bacon and the dirty burger. Efficient service and a fun room of private booths.

We had a yummy mushroom starter, the best steaks we had in Ireland, and the BEST waitress in town works here, Clodagh! She also gave us a great bar recommendation, John M. Reidys. We will be telling everybody about our wonderful experience here!

The Porterhouse restaurant is a must try if you are visiting Killarney. The food and the ambience is great. The food was amazing. They also have a vegan kitchen with amazing vegan choices. Both vegan and non-vegan options were great. Delicious flavors and a variety of choices. Our waitress Elsa was so patient and helpful. She answered all of our questions about the menu and provided excellent service. This place is definitely worth the visit.

I ate Lamb Shank which is slowly cooked Ring of Kerry lamb and it was one of the best meats I’ve ever eaten. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has a great atmosphere with cozy decorations. I would definitely recommend!

I enjoyed a solo dinner here and had a great seat overlooking the street which made for great people watching during my dinner. I enjoyed quick and efficient service, and had a great drink called a Pink Starburst. It was fruity and delicious. The burger was a bit dry and the pineapple would benefit from being roasted or grilled. The pork belly was really succulent and the chips were crispy.

They have a vegan chef who makes the vegan food. Great taste, great service. The lady that helped us was very sweet and good at her job. Definitely worth the visit (if you’re vegan or when you love vegan food).

Next week they have a new vegan menu, but when the mushroom bruschetta stays; it’s delicious. Also cauliflower was good.

Highly recommend! All dishes were great and the vegan menu was amazing.
We shared the Truffled Mushrooms Bruschetta and it was brilliant. The staff was really nice.
