Nice place for watching live performances.
Do not order coffee at the place because it is disgusting.

Verdi Requiem at David Weston theatre. A gem of a facility. Meridian centre is lovely very quiet and hidden away. Last time here was Showboat in the 90s! Holy cow! Will be coming back more often.

Nice venue for a cozy feeling. It's too bad the microphones weren't working properly for the first few songs. Doesn't help when the concert is based on 7 singers.

Sat on the first floor left wing. Great location. Would definitely return to see another concert..

Second time coming here. The first time was for the Shrek musical and this time it was for a kpop concert. Venue is smaller than I recall so the stage is a lot closer than expected which is great because you'll then have a closer view of the performance no matter which area you are seated. The sound also bounces off the walls nicely which is not surprising considering it is used for orchestras as well. Had a great time will definitely attend more events held here.

The venue is also easy to get to by car or bus and is situated near Mel Lastman Square.

No cameras allowed. Not even point and shoots. The ones I saw with cameras were being respectful and not blocking anyone (staying at/below eye level). I understand restricting cameras for musical ensembles, but the policy doesn't make sense for k-pop concerts. I hope this policy can be changed according to the event.

Otherwise, it's a great and clean venue. Lots of washrooms. Comfy waiting area and good temperature control. Comfy seats in the theatre with plenty of space between rows (George Weston Recital Hall). Acoustics were quite clear. Seemingly no bag size limit.

ONF performed amazingly and JnB staff were polite and kept the event organized.

Leaving a review both as a concert goer and a musician who has performed here. As a concert goer, the George Weston Recital Hall has comfortable seats and good acoustics, even at the very back of the hall. I like to sit in the balcony so I can see the whole orchestra. As a musician/performer, the rehearsal space is large and roomy, and the stage is beautiful and well lit. There's lots of Green P parking available nearby. The ushers are very nice.
