The park is great but it small, and surrounded by homes and apartments on all sides. As a result, when you visit, you may find yourself seated directly in front of someone's residence. Moreover, among the reviews, there is a picture of water or a river that was posted as if it was within the park, but I didn't come across any water or river in the park. So the picture is quite misleading. .

Surprising little park tucked into the middle of a residential block. Picnic tables, a shelter, plus playground equipment mostly aimed at young children. Perfect for visits with young kids.

Tucked away park in Hyattsville with some technical climbing structures for toddlers. Nice swing sets and good upper body strength play sets. Lots of mature trees, picnic tables and trash cans. There isn’t a parking lot so it is mostly used by local residents or you’ll need to find street parking.

nice place to take the kids or walk the dogs. Not really a place for sports because of all the trees. There is a newly updated playground for small children with slides and swings and jump jungle Jim's Etc. There's also a pavilion with picnic tables and the number of barbecue fireplaces. The park is completely surrounded by residential neighborhoods and is hidden away so that if you don't know the entrance you won't ever know it's there. The entrance is on Oglethorpe Street a block down from 42nd Street

I never k re this park existed until my twins were invited to a birthday party this party. It's nice play away with a themed play place. Covered spot for picnic or party. Now that I k ow it's so close I will bring my kids back.

The park has just been renovated with all new nature themed playground structures (spider web, ant hill, mushrooms, etc). Probably the best shade coverage in the whole area with beautiful oaks everywhere. Street parking is easy. There is also a gazebo with picnic tables.
