1 or even 0 stars.
My electric bike (brand new, value 5000 EUR) which I insured at Allianz against theft and damage was stolen from an access restricted and camera-monitored basement of an office building. The police took up the case immediately. I reported the insurance claim immediately and original keys, and copies of all requested documents were handed in shortly. The videos of the security camera clearly show how the thieves saw open the firmly locked chain with which the e-bike was secured to a non-moving object. I've been waiting for reimbursement for almost half a year now. It was only after I made numerous inquiries by email and telephone, that Allianz - almost half a year later - finally contacted the prosecutor for an additional document that they apparently need (protocol from the police, despite me having submitted electronic and paper copies of that document already). The time it took to get Allianz moving was considerable and still I have not received any reimbursement. Now Allianz even reached out to me to pay the insurance fee for this (stolen) e-bike for the next year.
Never again.

How to have a worry free holiday with Allianz in 5 easy steps!
Step 1: Buy travel insurance with Allianz
Step 2: Go on a holiday
Step 3: Get your luggage stolen from you during transit
Step 4: File a claim
Step 5: Watch it get rejected because you did not get beat up by the guy who stole from you.

Don't go anywhere near this company.

HAVE SCAMMED ME AND ASKING FOR MONEY FOR A CONTRACT I DIDN'T SIGN.
I simply requested information on their packages and was sent an offer. Never signed a contract with them, as I got a better offer from another company. Since then I’ve been receiving notices to pay the amount mentioned in their offer. I’ve sent them tons of emails explaining the situation and after a couple of emails they disappear and stop replying. I called them and they told me to send them my contract with the company I signed so that they can delete my file. I did. They didn’t reply - now I have received a letter calling me to appear in court. This harassment is unheard of from an international and supposedly reputable company.

Astrid is the name most memorable for all the wrong reasons. I truly hope that she never find herself with a relative in need of life saving intensive care and have to deal with an insurance reps as vile as her. I'm not sure if this is Allianz typical tact when dealing with clients but this has been atrocious from start to finish. I have never dealt with a company who's reps are as rude, obnoxious and arrogant as those who we have experienced with Allianz. Special mention to Kevin and Angel who did treat us with respect and compassion and helped move things along. However our experiences with Astrid and others who's names escape me at this time has been nothing short of outrageous.

Next time I take travel insurance I will make sure that Allianz are not the in country provider; customer service here is deplorable at a frequency of every second phone phone call. I guess when you're a multi million dollar company, and you have people's money already then you can speak to them you how you so wish!
