The big plus of the place is the loving service that made me feel back in Italy and it is nice to see that there are places in Luxembourg where the client service is well conducted.

The food is good for the price paid and the selection of wine is decent.

The vibe of the restaurant is welcoming and warm.

La Locanda has a good reputation but didn't convince me personally. I've been there a couple of times: Pizza is ok but not special, same applies to steaks. Pasta is between standard and very good. Wine overprized. Service is also ok but a bit strange to not get offered a digestive after having spent 400€ for 8 people.

I am very allergic to Gluten.
Never saw before some restaurant with so good food gluten free.
They have plenty of pizza and pasta, even the deserts and also the think about it and take seriously had even beer gluten free.
I most to say I became emotional for after years I had opportunity to seat in restaurant and eat properly a delicious food what you cannot feel the difference for food with gluten. EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIUS AND PERFECT!
The staff is great the place also very pleasant.
Worth the price, the time and the life!

This isn't necessarily a "fancy" restaurant, but I am finding it hard to find a reason to give them less than 5 stars. I was stuck at the Hotel Pax for eight nights on a work trip and ate at La Laconda four times during my stay. Each meal was stupendous. The spaghetti bolognese was superior. Huge portion, perfectly al dente pasta, and large chunks of impeccably prepared ground beef. The tortellini panna e prosciutto almost made me fall out of my chair. Perfectly cooked tortellini, delicious cream sauce, and just the right amount of prosciutto in the mix. The spaghetti frutti di mare had more 'frutti di mare' in it than any other frutti di mare I've ever had and included a nice chunk of lobster. Finally, the Slade Mista was a great light meal in itself. Generous globs of mozzarella with slices of prosciutto and egg over a bed of greens, olives, and tomatoes. With a dash of oil and vinegar, I was in heaven. Like I said, the portions were generous. I am an American living in the netherlands, so you can trust me when I laud the portion size. Furthermore, the staff is friendly, attentive, and well presented. From top to bottom this a great experience. If you are looking for a satisfying meal it's worth venturing a bit outside the city center to dine here.

Great place. They made a pizza in the shape of Mickey mouse's head for the kids. I had the risotto but wasn't a fan. Wife had the lasagna which was very good and what I would recommend. 1/4 of rose was like 5 euro and over all the price was decent. Was also greeted at the door with a warm hello and handshake and they seated us without a reservation. If your in the area stop for a nice meal and enjoy the great service.
