Regrettably, my family and I encountered a distressing situation involving racial profiling at a church in Lakewood. Ms. Laura’s treatment left us feeling like criminals during our first-day shelter stay. I advise people of color to explore alternative options, as the experience here can be detrimental to one’s mental well-being.
This is place is not helping with rental assistance but when I talked to 211 they said they had funds available? I don't know what's going on but seems like false advertising for help with rent that they DO NOT HAVE?
Great program,they have always helped me with transportation help.they also help with shelter and other needs.nice and kind people,I highly recommend this place.keep up the great work!👍😊💜
Currently in there shelter program with my 2 yr old daughter and have had a positive outcome because of this place and for that so it would be disrespectful to not share my experience with this organization. Ups and downs in life and they have been there and see past through it and show compassion, over and my beyond.
The family promise staff are amazing! We were able to having housing when we waited on our section 8. They were kind and helpful!!

Not at all a revolving door program. These people consistently research and take every effort to assure success for the families they serve. They provide every available resource to continue in the success of life's journey. This program definitely exemplifies paying it forward. Thank you for all your generosity, time and heartfelt work.
