Don’t know about real Italian pasta but I’d say u can have authentic one in this place
We had a carbonara and the taste was totally priceless
Just IMO it was the best carbonara I’ve had in my life
Besides all of staff are literally gentle and friendly

Great food and great service. I was visiting from Sydney and just explored the area and came across Tiamo. Waiting in line for maybe 10 mins on a busy Saturday night.
Food was great and wine was delicious! Definitely coming back here on my next visit to Melbourne.

Ordered the rabbit and fennel sausage. The meal was excellent and i really enjoyed coming back to this old school restaurant which is 100 metres from where i grew up.

I felt like a tourist in the place where i grew up. Carlton has changed a lot in 60 years. I just hope the football team can go all the way this year and my daughter passes her driving test as that's my reason for being here today.

We went for our anniversary dinner, got there early, around 6pm and got a table outside which was nice on a hot day. When we left around 7pm, it was busy and a line waiting for a table had formed.

Service was fast and the food was very tasty. We ordered a bruschetta to share and two serves of spaghetti marinara. Both really delicious! The pasta servings are generous!

Overall, a nice dinner. Service was fast and the food was delicious.

This restaurant was recommended by my daughter who had heard the restaurant name mentioned in conversations before. We took a chance and arrived past 7 pm on a Friday night without a reservation. The staff referred us to stand in line to wait for a seat which was fortunately, just a 5 min wait before we were let to a cosy corner table which we were glad to have. The restaurant was pretty full and busy at this time. Despite that, the staff was ever so polite, professional, highly efficient and attentive at all times. The food was of good quality. Of special mention was the Ortolana pizza and the Rabbit and Sausage Casserole. Wonderful Italian dinner and at a reasonable price. When prompted for a tip by the staff at payment, I gladly gave them a 10% tip.

Group of six for a birthday lunch and was disappointing. Whilst portion of pasta would deemed generous, lacked flavour and every dish was Luke warm. Some of us had the Morton Bay bug specials and seafood wasn’t fresh. Then was also hit with a 10% surcharge being Sunday without any obvious note or warning on website for online bookings. Years ago was good but no longer and there are plenty of Italian restaurants to even consider returning. Service to our table was good but not so much at the cashier.

Whilst the restaurant and location is beautiful, the service was that unbelievably awful, i wish this amount of detail was made up. I had made a booking for 2 (friend and myself) at 7pm upstairs on a Saturday night. Firstly, 1 waitress tried to place us upstairs but then told us we had to wait another 5-10 minutes outside. Secondly, a couple who had arrived after us with the EXACT booking time was seated before us. Thirdly, when we were finally attended to by 2 other waiters (7:14pm), they asked if we wanted to sit outside at a dirty table-for-4 with 2 chairs on the edge of the restaurant. We reminded them that the booking was meant to be for upstairs. Once we sat down, we felt very stressed and concerned for how the food would turn out and were quite tempted to leave. The waiter who took our order, said napoli gnocchi (when my friend said pesto gnocchi). A waitress came with 2 cokes (which we didn’t order and was meant for another table). The pesto gnocchi was very bland, the spaghetti marinara was fine but the Napoli sauce was really oily. Overall, everything felt incredibly unorganised!
