Someone came here from animal services banging on the door like there was a fire. I didn’t get up on time as I was in the laundry room and I’m not sure what they were here for. We do have an elderly dog that goes outside cause she’s gotta go out quite a bit because of her kidneys and she’s half blind and is losing her hearing so not sure why they were here. They never came back. I called 311. There was nothing on there, it may have been a complaint by somebody saying the dogs barking. I wish people would just get a life!!!!!! the dog is fine Well, taken care of it was my mother’s dog who passed away, so I took care of her And she’s still with me the dog! People need to mind their own business there is enough going on in the world right now that people shouldn’t have to pee complaining but other peoples animals when they’re locked in the yard that they can’t get out it’s truly pathetic. I’m still waiting for them to come back. Find out why they were here in the first place! Truly disturbing

My mom and I went to inquire about a potential dog adoption and the kennel attendant was not friendly and very unhelpful. They basically interrogated us and we didn’t even get to meet the dog, they are making it very hard for these dogs to find homes which I thought was their goal. We arrived super excited and left with a bad taste in our mouths.

I do doggie dates usually once a week. The staff are so amazing with us, giving us the information we need with the dog we are taking. It's always a pleasure taking these dogs out for a walk and cuddles.

He loves his walks and naps. The squirrels won't get away with any shenanigans while he stands watch.

Very animal focused staff. They are honorable and have great integrity with the animals they care for. They allow "Doggy dates" so you can spend time with the animals before going through with the adoption, it seems they allow you to take time with the adoption so you are confident you have a great match with your adoption animal!

Haven't been here for decades. The place certainly has changed since the 70's, and now includes WRENCH, a group that helps kids and others get and maintain bicycles. Nice airy feeling, despite an antiseptic hint it is still a welcoming environment. There is a small walled in exterior area where you can meet and greet potential family members. We registered to meet a dog from the on line posting but they called and discussed him with us, coming to the conclusion we were not the best matchup, but recommended a new arrival so we went in to see her and came home a couple of hours later with this little lady. They supply a couple days worth of food so there is no rush about getting supplies. She's already settling in, and I think I'm down a few pounds having to walk her every day. (I would strongly suggest getting cleats for your boots, the streets are incredibly slick and slippery and a misplaced tug on the leash could take you down.)
