This is a hard review to do. Until today everyone has been amazing. My husband had a complete spinal reconstruction surgery, xlif, avr, removal of spinal stimulator implant and battery. We have explained to the xray dept. doing portable xray about his pain level. Several complications have arison after surgery. These have prevented him from the normal pain regimen. The tech that did the 1st abdominal xray hurt him badly having him lie flat and shoving the xray films under his freshly fixed back. I worked as an RRT and Medic for over 18 years and understand you do your job 1 way. Actually no you figure out how to take care of "the" patient. After that tech the next few made sure he sat on the side of the bed and the film was placed up against his back/abdomen to look for a very dangerous condition he has developed Ogilvie's Syndrome which is a pseudo bowel obstruction. This morning these 2 older gentlemen/techs came in. We explained what he needed. They argued but then seemed to understand. I stepped out to the bathroom to allow them to do their jobs. I came back from the bqthroom to find him in a position that was causing excruciating pain. They were telling him they had to lay him down to get what they needed. I explained that the other techs got exactly what we once again needed fr the edge of the bed. The bigger of the 2 men. Raised his voice arguing that what they got before was for an ng not Ogilvie's. I explained again no they did 2 that was for Ogilvies. He was rude and just said they were done. I asked if they woukd please read the notes from the other techs charting. They left. I insisted they send someone else up. They just put myself and my husband through more unnecessary trauma and pain for NO reason. My husband deserves respect, care and an aoplogy.
