Really nice venue, with helpful staff and a great sound system. Somewhat on the smaller side which makes for a very enjoyable experience with feeling connected to the musicians. There is a photobooth on your way in, be sure to get some photos !

Came here to see Matt Hansen preform. Cute tiny venue believe hold around 200 ppl. Will definitely be looking forward to upcoming shows here and there are no bad spots.

Attended the Berlioz concert this past weekend - staff here are so nice and helpful. A few of my friends got tickets at the door all thanks to the kindest staff member, Tony. He was such a sweetheart and made such great conversation with my friends and I!! We even took photo booth pictures upstairs :)

My only critique is the coat check - there wasn’t a system in place and my friend and I found our sweaters on the floor after the show.

Can’t wait to be back soon!!

First time coming to Drake Underground for a concert. Was pretty surprised by the nice intimate atmosphere for the bands Misty Blue and A Short Walk to Pluto. Upon entering the building there is coat check which was $3 and an instant photobooth that costs $5 for two pictures. My one criticism was that there appears to be two bars at the venue but only one was open resulting in big congestions. There was also a coat rack beside the bar which appeared to be free but granted it is a concert venue not sure how well secured it is. Overall would come here again for another concert in the future. The drinks at the bar were around $10+

I really enjoyed this venue and their staff. First time attending a show here recently and it was a lot of fun. Such a nice small and intimate venue. I went to see Kenya Grace. Amazing artist (so talented, creative, and definitely deserves all the best) but regarding the venue I think this really worked well for that performance. Created such a fun cozy atmosphere for her final show of the year. I also really liked Ari Hicks (great artist who I wasn't familiar with but am now a big fan). Soundstage was perfect. Everything was enjoyable about this place and its staff. Bartenders were great. Couldn't make me an aviation ( lol ) but I wasn't expecting that. They did have a really decent drink offering and everyone was very friendly. And probably the nicest (and also quite pretty) coat check lady ever. I highly doubt anyone is going to a venue for the bar or other team members, but it really can make or break a night depending on if the staff is good or not. And at Drake Underground everyone was really nice and professional which elevated my night out. Overall, you can tell by this review that I had a really good time and it was largely because of a really neat setting and awesome staff. It was a lot of fun. I would highly recommend looking up their schedule and finding a show of interest. You are definitely going to have a great experience.

Drake Underground is my favourite venue in all of Toronto for smaller shows because it’s so intimate. The sound quality is good and the stage is low so you really feel close to the artists. There is little seating but if you get there early then you can enjoy a drink side to side with your partner and get ready for the show.
After the show, some artists hang around to mingle with the fans and that is AWESOME.
As for drink quality: I suggest going upstairs to the restaurant bar to get a signature cocktail since the mixed drinks at the bar downstairs aren’t so good. They allow you to bring those upstairs glasses downstairs - just don’t abuse their leniency and shatter their glasses because then they might stop that.
I can’t wait to be back!
