Chinatown Express

Delicious food and huge portions. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, before it moved. I live and Palm Springs and it’s worth the drive.

I was sadly disappointed with the food here. After reading some of their reviews, I was expecting the food to be fantastic but it was underwhelming to say the least. The rice was dry, the spring rolls soggy inside, and the chicken a bit dry. The only descent item was the chowmein. The service was great. The atmosphere a bit dingy but I’m one of those people that believe most “hole in the wall” spots have the best food so that didn’t bother me. I work nearby and often eat out for lunch so I was hoping this would be a new favorite but I’ll definitely not be eating here again.

I just saw one of the ladies who serve food eat with her hands. Shove food into her mouth, lick her fingers and go back to serving food without washing her hands or wearing gloves. My boyfriend just ran into the bathroom to 🤢 throw up 🤮!

Plus, we got an attitude when we ordered the lunch special.

Easily my favorite food place sometimes they give you so much that they can’t close the container all the way it dose get a little warm inside tho

Their service is great, their workers are so kind,THE FOOD IS BLAZING GOOD!!🔥 anyone who COMES HERE MUST TRY THE WONTON SOUP MY MOM GETS THE WONTON SOUP WITH PEPPER FISH INSIDE THE BEST SOUP EVER ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIKE WONTONS AND VEGTABLES THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON SHRIMP OR VEGTABLES...GREAT PRICE ....YUM YUM ..

Quality quick service Chinese food is a dime a dozen, but none come as close to sit-down quality food as Chinatown Express does!

Fresh, huge potions, and such great service, there’s not much more to say! You can taste the tang in the orange chicken. You can bite into the broccoli or carrots from the veggies and actually feel a crunch instead of mush. The beef in the broccoli beef was cooked well and had amazing flavor! The teriyaki chicken was grilled so it had amazing char! Drinks are priced quite well too! In all it’s a downright hole-in-the-wall worth going to and worth supporting!

"I recently ordered from Chinatown Express, drawn in by the great reviews for their Orange Chicken, and while I had a mixed experience, there were some highlights.

The Orange Chicken was tender, well-coated, and didn't drown in orange sauce. However, it lacked zest, leaning on the sweeter side. The fried rice and chow mein, unfortunately, lacked flavor altogether, and the chow mein, although thick, it was a tad too greasy.

On the bright side, the cream cheese wontons were a delightful surprise – generously filled, with a perfect texture and flavor.

While the main dishes left something to be desired, I would have to give it a 3, unfortunately. Chinatown Express had its moments, but there's room for improvement."
