I recently visited Andrews NYC Diner with my group for breakfast. I noted that they advertised chili on the menu outside. However, I was slightly disappointed to find that it wasn't available on the main menu and was not offered in the morning either.
House-baked Muffin: I chose the pistachio flavour. To my surprise, the muffin was quite big and filling. Although it was primarily walnut, which makes sense given the high cost of pistachios, the muffin's vibrant green interior was striking. It came with jam and butter, but it was tasty enough on its own that I didn't need either.
The service was generally attentive, though we experienced a slight hiccup initially while trying to order the chili. Also, I felt there weren't enough restrooms for its size. Thankfully, a staff member informed me about an additional restroom downstairs, which was a useful tip.
Overall, despite a few minor issues, my experience was quite positive. The food, particularly the muffin, offered great value, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. I would not mind returning to explore more of their full menu the next time I'm in the area.

There was a long line. After my husband and I waited for about 30 min, they asked us if we’d like to sit at the bar, we said no, we rather have a table. At the same time they seated a family of 4 who just came in. Nobody apologized to us. Then we got seated at the table by the window with a big tv hanging next to it with a ton of dust on it!!! Food quality was below average, with poor customer service. I don’t recommend this place based on my experience.

The place is tucked away, there was a line but the move quick so it was not a long wait! I had the bagel and toast, which was good along with the hot chocolate! The omelette was bland, and the potatoes tasted like fish instead of cooked potatoes. The breakfast sampler was good and portion size was great, the blueberry pancakes were good and delivered what was expected. Overall, we would probably pick another place to go to but it is worth a try due to their popularity!

The lengthy morning wait in this place became a forgotten inconvenience the moment the food arrived. There's something about perfectly cooked bacon and eggs that sets the day off right. But it was the omelet that truly took me back. The Mexican omelet, in particular, was a standout, packed with flavor, the kind of breakfast I hadn't enjoyed in ages. The potatoes, too, were something special. There must be a secret ingredient in the New York air that makes potatoes taste better, and this place had it figured out. It’s rare to find a spot that gets it just right, making those potatoes a memorable part of the meal. It made me want to take up cooking lessons just to replicate that perfect taste. Amidst the bustling morning, our server, who I remember was Asian and I assume Japanese, added a layer of warmth to our experience. It’s wasn't every day I see such diversity in service here, and his professionalism and kindness didn't go unnoticed. Despite the rush, he made us feel welcomed and unhurried.

Excellent food, fast service and quick seating. The margarita pizza was superb with a perfect sauce and fresh Mozzarella. The French toast was THE best French toast I've ever had, perfectly fluffy with a satisfyingly, light hint of vanilla. Garden omelet was cooked a little too well but had a nice variety of veggies. The roasted potatoes were delicious.

The staff is great, especially our very attentive waitress at the counter. The food was hot and came out quick. Home fries were crispy and seasoned! It’s a fast paced place, but you’re never rushed. I was full after my breakfast, but they had tons of options for baked goods that looked amazing. Andrew’s is a must for breakfast if you’re in NY.
