Collegiate students under the guidance of Fast Break Sports are destroying 'The North Lawn' a passive lawn in Riverside Park at 80th Street. It is a fenced area that is restricted to picnics and passive recreation. The sign clearly prohibits active sports.
When asked to desist, the group refused stating that the park ranger had given them permission.
