East Side Community High School

Don’t bring your kid to this school if you really care about your kid. The teachers are nice, but the way they teach sucks. The dean and principal wouldn’t do anything to keep your kid safe and they wouldn’t do anything but put your kid down if their failing and or bullied. This school would say anything to get more students but they dont mean everything they say. I’ve been here since 9th grade and ever since I came here they tried so hard to keep be held back.

I attended this school from 7th to 8th grade. I can honestly say my experience there helped shape me into a much more open-minded and confident person. Class sizes are small and you can tell the staff cares.

This is by far the best school I have ever attended. The teachers and principal are called by their first names, this helps you to feel comfortable in the learning environment and makes you feel like you can approach them more. This school is a safe zone for the LGBT community and is a very big supporter of equal rights. This school is overall amazing and prepared me tremendously for college.

Social justice curriculum + empowering atmosphere + incredible teachers = one of the best public schools in NYC

Great school. Great principal and teachers. All are very involved with students. All are very respectful of students. Small classes. And yes, kids are given a voice which is fantastic!
