Rudy Ortega Park is an historic park sitting on the site of a village of the Fernandeno Tataviam Mission Band of Indians. The tribe is in the process of seeking federal recognition which would make it the first recognized tribe in Los Angeles county. Visitors can learn of the history of the Tataviam tribe along with the culture from one of the elders...there are programs here for school children and adults. A very nice little park with a great history and story to tell. The elders are happy to speak with the public and educate people. Very friendly and informative.

Very quiet little park. Very peaceful. I like to walk my dog here. She is tiny so its the perfect size park for her. I love the many different plants. Thank you Rudy Ortega
