Great area for hiking but in dire need of public parking

Beautiful trail. It's wide and not hard to walk. There is the occasional ATV but most of them are respectful and slow down to carefully go around you. The beginning of the trail this week had lots of dog feces on each side but that's due to inconsiderate people as opposed to a problem with the trail. Lots of beautiful trees and small ponds to look at. Week days are quiet and peaceful.

When the main road thins out after the power lines. Stick on the path most right of the powerlines to avoid mud. After you arrive at petty harbour i recommend Chafee's Landing for a burger if you eat meat or a well mixed salad if you eat the plants

A nice hiking trail so close to the city, however hikers will be sharing trail with a multitude of snowmobiles, 4x4s etc which certainly takes away from the solitude of the area.

Spent a nice day cross country skiing the trail and nearby ponds with friends

The sights, the sounds, the ease of access, the trail options are limitless, love this city escape 😊

Great trail for biking or walking the dog. It is secluded however and as it's a gravel road, lots of ATVs travel on it. The pond views are very nice.
