Nice selection of wines, bread good, ordered chicken which was served almost raw, sent back, no apology was given, brought a second chicken which was also raw and inedible, again no apology was given, walked out.
A little out of the way from the tourist center in the sleepy suburb of Uccle, it was easy to get to by tram, about 30-40 minutes from the grand place.
This place was recommended by lots of people from the service industry, with great home style cooking in a lively, festive atmosphere.
Daily menu is on the chalkboard, wines are displayed all over. Prices shown are to-go, so a corkage fee is added. Really great selection at very affordable prices. The Gamay we had with our meal was perfect.
We started by sharing a liver paté, it was nice, and absolutely huge portion. Our mains were the ray fin, the stuffed cabbage with cèpes and guanciale, the steak tartare and a side of fries.
The ray was absolutely fabulous, perfectly flaked, with amazing mashed potatoes and butter sauce, and was our favorite dish, but everything else was great.
We were too full for dessert!
What really sets this place apart is the welcome we got. We felt like regulars, almost like old friends they haven't seen in a while. Tom the owner and his staff were amazing.

Nothing is more authentic in the terms of a Brussels establishment than Les Petits Bouchons. An incredible selection of beers (including a large variety of Cantillon) and organic wines. The food is made with lots of love and seasonal products. It’s out of the centre, but really worth the detour.
No nonsense great belgian food!

This is a true place ! Impeccable ! Such a friendly couple tending the place. Real spirit of a bistro: old man drinking his beer, romantic couple sharing a meal and friends having a laugh at the counter. Amazing products selected for their quality and truthfulness. Meal can be accommodated if the varied menu board is not enough for your taste. Which would be surprising. Of course, the beers and wines selections is among the best you can find in any kind of places, even special tasting bars or resellers !!
