Pigeon House Equestrian

My granddaughter has been thoroughly upset by this stables especially the woman who owns it .She has called my daughter a liar about bookings and has now turned my granddaughter down for lessons.Please do not trust this stables.

Our daughter was happily attending riding lessons here until a mix up with class times that was due to a lack of communication from the stable. The owner then expelled our daughter from the school (via text message), falsely citing a bad attitude on our part towards members of her staff. We were bewildered by this. When we asked her for more details and questioned this she suggested we were lying and then changed her story to claim that our daughter didn't really want to ride and was unresponsive in class. This simply wasn't true as we know from having watched her classes and seen her interactions with the teachers. Furthermore, no concerns about her attitude or progress had been raised prior to this which leads us to believe it was a made up excuse to save face. We have texted, rung and left messages to discuss this situation but have received not even the professional courtesy of a response. Our daughter is very upset about this as she loves riding and was progressing well in her lessons. You might have a perfectly good experience with this riding school but as you will see from other reviews here and elsewhere this arbitrary and irresponsible treatment of students and paying customers is not unique. Be warned.

Great place. Definitely would recommend this place for riding lessons. People who work there are fantastic.

Horrendous owner. As ugly on the inside as she is on the outside. I've never met a more rude individual. Don't wast your money here, definitely don't allow your children anywhere near this vile woman

I've been having lessons here with Olivia since October and it's by far the best riding school experience I've had. Her teaching has helped bring my confidence back and things I've struggled with make so much more sense now. The horses are great too.

I have been riding every weekend I possibly can at Pigeon House since summer 2017. Sarah and her team have helped me regain my confidence after a longish break, and my 'horse mojo' has returned in bucketloads! Perhaps I shouldn't be rushing about on horses at my age, but it's so much FUN! The horses are polite and responsive, and the staff helpful and friendly. What more could you ask for?

When my daughter showed an interest in riding lessons we went to Pigeon House on a recommendation from a friend. We could not have been better advised. Sarah and her team are friendly, professional, helpful and encouraging; lessons are tailored for every ability and age; and my daughter has gone from a total beginner to a confident, competent horse rider whose ability is stretched a little every week. I even plucked up the courage to return to riding after a 30 year break! I highly recommend Pigeon House to all.
