Johansen Park

Johansen Park is a solid park, but Atlantic Beach has so many awesome ones that I have to give it 4 stars. Art in the Park is a lot of fun in the spring.

This mature park has the benefit of stretching along for quite a Way, especially if you don't mind being off a beaten path.
While there are more than a few dead/dying trees there at the moment, it's hard to notice them because of the beautiful and extensive canopy of mature trees.
Enjoy the walk.

Excellent park nestled in a very well to do area of Atlantic Beach. Quiet and low traffic, beautiful green space with plenty of area to run, kick the soccer ball, have a birthday party, or just be outside. Highly recommend it.

A pleasant surprise in the middle of a residential area, this one block wide park actually extends quite a long way through the community and offers lots of shade and peaceful spots under a canopy of mature trees. Lovely asset for the community, it's also used for events ranging from jazz concerts to art shows and movie nights

Visited this park for the first time today with my mom! Absolutely one of my favorite parks I've ever been to! Very chill and quiet, and a great place to walk! There are lots of different trees, vegetation, animals and insects and a couple swings tied to some oak trees along the way. Such a peaceful, relaxing place and a total gem for Atlantic Beach. It feels like you're walking in a tropical jungle and I love it! Highly recommend!

I just happen to know the Daughter of the Founders & this place is so quiet & peaceful. Yoga in the AM. You can rent it out for private events(permit) Super underutilized. Beautiful!

Beautiful small park with aged trees of the local area. Great for a nice chill hang with social distancing. There is a homemade swing, and hanging swing, a palm tree that the kids can climb.
