Easy walk to base of falls. Getting good view of the falls needs a little rock hopping. Moderate hike uphill to the top of the falls, but it's worth it. And you can continue on to Giant Mountain.

A nice 1.3 mile hike to the top of the water fall, with a spectacular view of the colorful forests. The climb is moderately difficult at the start, and then gently up. You can get pretty close to the top (literally stand on the top if you are brave!). In early Oct, it looks beautiful and the entire hike is shaded so you won't get too hot. The forest is quite, do watch for mushrooms as you go up and down, loads of varieties.

Beautiful, if strenous hike.
We ascended Giant-o-the Valley, via Roaring Brook.
Recommend getting there early.
We started out at 6am.
Cool breeze.
Road sounds disappeared after 200yds.

After 11am, we saw a big increase in hikers.
Was still a very enjoyable time.

Be sure to stop off at both the bottom, and top of Roaring Brook Falls.

Good hike that's both challenging but manageable for most and great view at the top.

Cool little water fall not too far from the parking lot. Definitely would recommend checking it out and even climbing up the rocks to get a better view.

Probably the most enjoyable, short, simply and forested hike I had with my family. Perfect for my two-year-old daughter to wander and stroll slowly toward a beautiful rocky waterfall. My wife, daughter, and wife relaxed in a hammock at the end of the hike, listening to calm, healing sounds water crashing on rock. Blissful, dry, and a perfectly prepared hiking environment. My sincere thanks to the rangers, trail preparers, and forest workers for crafting each step for a wonderful, slightly-winding adventure around trees and stream.

Easy hike up to the upper falls, great views from the top of the falls. Take your shoes off for a wade near the edge but be careful and don't fall off! Can't beat the view from there.

Tried to push on beyond that to Giant's Nubble but the trail got really muddy and full of bugs, not pleasant at all.

And do remember to stop by the roadside viewpoint just about 1000ft southeast of the trailhead. Great view of the falls from far away.
