Restaurante Trueba

WOW! What can I say about this place? Everything was excellent. I was so happy I was able to get a reservation. The staff here were so incredibly friendly. They helped us select the perfect bottle of wine for our dinner and walked us through the menu. You must add this to your list when visiting Bilbao.

My husband took me to this restaurant for my birthday. It was small but lovely. Staff were very attentive. Food was a little pricey for the portions but this was to be expected. I ordered the steak and it was delicious. My husband ordered the fish (bacalao) and it was a bit overcooked and stringy. Otherwise everything else was quite good. For the price though (>€167) we were hoping it would all be amazing.

I highly recommend their fish special and their croquetas.

Very good place for diner. It isn't the cheapest place but worth every euro. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. And the food is delicious. Recommendable!

Dined at lunch, delicious food - trad'l bacalao, an amazing poached egg with pumpkin & mussel puree, arroz con leche ice cream - lovely service! Helpful with local wine

We went there for the last meal of our holiday and it did not disappoint.

The food was delicious and the service was attentive. The ingredients were a bit out of the usual range which is exciting. We ordered the stuffed hake and the tripe... Absolutely delicious. Would recommend!

The food and the service were great! Everything that we ordered looked so good and we're so eager to eat that we don't have photos of almost anything. Surely recommended, tradicional food at city center.
