As a tourist, it's a nice place to try authentic Egyptian food. But beware of people asking for "bakshish" (tip).. almost everyone is asking for a tip

Gorgeous

As in all bazaars across the world, you can find almost everything here.
The shops here are anything from shabby ones to exclusive ones. Textiles, dried food, trinkets, souvenirs are available here.
I bought some native bags made form jute, long dresses from soft cotton and some souveniers.
Cafes and restaurants are in abundance here. We stopped for drinks and some snacks and street peddlers come to you to sell their wares. And of course, bargaining hard is the order of the day.
The cleanliness here is nothing to be proud of. Streets were littered with rubbish although shop owners try to clean them up.
Overall I enjoyed shopping here.

The cafe is alright but massively overpriced compared to the location you are in. You need to find your way through the Khan Al Khalili market before you enter the cafe through a security check. Once you've managed to enter it you have the choice e between a quite smoky bar or the non-smoking restaurant. The food is okay though for the price not very special too.

Amazing place and food

A typical Cafe of old Cairo.

A very interesting place for fun....you never get enough of it...you just neet to know how to navigate...you should tolerate the insisting behavior of the shop keepers....and enjoy the colorful environment....the cafe or lemon juice or ginger drink at the fishawi coffee shop....just be funny...
The place is clean
