Restaurant Eels was one of the most anticipated restaurants during this trip yet the meal was disappointing.

I went for the tasting menu with 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 1 dessert. My wife ordered an appetizer and a main. Of the three appetizers that we had, the smoked eels, marinated mackerel and the rabbit confit, they were above average and perhaps the highlights of the evening.

Going into the mains, the pork loin was perhaps the better of the three, with different flavours, sweetness and tang on the plate. The stingray was supposed to be grilled, yet there was no grilled flavor. The plating was random which would not be expected at this type of restaurant. The yellow poultry which we ordered a la carte also did not work for us. The sous vide chicken had no texture or taste. This main had little collaboration among the ingredients... it was sous vide chicken + meat jus + cuttlefish tagliatelle + patches of sauces.

The service from the staff was good in the beginning. Yet after getting your drinks order and when the place is getting busy, the service was not as organized. Most of the servers speak good english.

For us, there will be many other interesting restaurants in Paris to try on our trip.

This is your place if you value good food presented in eye catching and inviting colorful manner. Each dish was excellent, level of flavor and texture alignment was just perfect.
Excellent champagne by glass and wine selection, which was suggested very professionally.
Service was very professional and friendly, attentive but not intrusive. I suggest calling out not waiting to be noticed.
They have tasting menu option and a la
carte menu.
Highly recommend trying smoked eel starter and chocolate caramel dessert.
Do book ahead and if possible choose table by windows.

Loved this restaurant! I tried their yellow poultry which was amazing. Overall experience is a mix of fine dine + modern french bistro vibes. Staff were super helpful and nice.

Modern french bistro off beaten path. Different twist yet still french. Food can take a while, order some drinks. Made with love

Definitely coming back! Lovely food and vibe. Liked the interior design and the team had a good energy. The only point would be the table we had which was next to the ( Bar/Kitchen ) so it feels like you are in the way and workers passing to serve the food.

I loved this restaurant. I made a reservation and choose the dinner menu with wine pairing. The waiters were all very friendly and nice (and spoke English perfectly). The food itself was amazing, some flavors I had never tasted and everything was perfectly cooked. The wines were interesting and complemented the dishes (especially the dessert). I will definitely recommend this place and hopefully return.
The place is small and the tables are very close together (but I noticed this is very common in Paris), however this is the only small but I can find.

We did the tasting menu and loved every course, especially the salmon (maybe the best salmon dish of our lives??). Both of our servers were very friendly and accommodating. Would happily eat here again when we return to Paris!
