Shariati Park

Designed by a world-renowned Iranian architect who passed away in recent months away from his homeland, this is one of the most pristine neighborhood parks in downtown Tehran where you enjoy the sight of neighborhood retirees playing chess on concrete chess tables under floodlights late at night or ladies young or old walking their dogs and networking with each other. Despite its being next-door to an ever busy petrol station on its southern edge, the park has maintained its piece and relative quiet. There’s a small public library inside the park although I wonder if it has many regular memberships. On some New Year Eves, the district municipality plants assorted varieties of tulips across the expanse of the park, which gives it extraordinary scenic attraction. The botanical diversity of the park, moreover, catches the insightful visitor’s attention on the spot. Aside from a kids’ playground with matted flooring, the park enjoys a large circular pool and fountain system in its centre which is illuminated after dusk on special occasions especially in summertime.

An ordinary district park comprising common zones, mini volleyball arena, playground for children, tables for board games, etc.
Park has a linear plan and limited height differences suitable for hiking.

Shariati Park located in the street of the same name is one of the beautiful parks with attractive circulation and has a suitable and local security for people to chat and play group games.

a very pleasant park to walk for one hour. kids playground is very noisy.

There would be a beautiful park where my family and I go thhere for fun and also entertainment.
