Redondo Beach Whale Watch is a really poorly run business. My sister-in-law has a terminal illness, ALS, and lives in a landlocked state. She flew out to visit us in Redondo with the hopes of seeing whales for the first and maybe last time. We coordinated ahead of time with services and were very excited about our trip. With only a couple hours to the trip, they called us to cancel for lack of seats being filled. We offered to pay for the vacant seats because of how much this meant. Not only did they say they weren’t willing to do this, but they’ve never made it right or even apologized. Try Newport or Long Beach for Whale watching!

We had an unfortunate experience with Redondo Beach Whale Watch, and I would not recommend them to anyone (go to Long Beach or Newport instead!)

My sister with a terminal illness (ALS) flew from Ohio to LA to go whale watching with me. I coordinated with the manager beforehand and made sure the boat was accessible for her wheelchair and physical disabilities and made him aware of the situation. Everything was confirmed, and then we received a call that they were going to cancel the trip because they needed 2 more paying passengers to make the trip worthwhile for them. I told him we would pay for the 2 extra seats so my sister could have this experience with whales. We also told him that we’d make it worth their while bc we would tip well as this is a bucket list experience for my sister, and he said no, they weren’t willing to do that. So, the trip was cancelled and my sister never got to see the whales 💔.

This situation was handled extremely unprofessionally and they were so rude - the manager hung up on me when I asked for his name! As a Redondo beach local, I urge you to please go elsewhere on your whale watching trips as this company has no integrity.

Wonderful day out with a knowledgeable volunteer whale guide and quality captain and crew. We loved our day on the water and effort they took to see wildlife. We saw two fin whales, a ton of dolphins and sea lions.

3 of us went on 2.5hr whale watching tour. The morning trip was cancelled so we went at 1pm. Didn't see any whales but did see 100's of dolphins and overall it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Highly recommend, it was a great experience.

A life long dream was accomplished that day! The captain and his team where on a mission! Dolphins, seals, a great blue whale, and a fin whale swam in our midst. The blue whale was literally 30 feet from the boat. What an amazing experience! Hands down worth it!

We did the sunset cruise 7 pm, which is their last cruise out. Unfortunately a very overcast day so no sunset. But crew friendly. Give senior discounts. $20 for 45 min. 4 stars because they were out of wine , no gin . Also we were time we could buy tshirts on the boat but when we got on the boat, we're told no tshirts . Otherwise a relaxing cruise. Saw a platform filled with sea lions.
