La Bonne Excuse

My wife and I had a very nice time for the Lunch at the Bonne Excuse.
First of all, we have been welcomed by the waiter nicely. Despite having to wait (he didn't book a table), they kindly asked us to wait and let us know the expectable waiting time.
The service was just right and friendly.
The food was up to my expectations : tasty, simple but delicious and fulfilling.
The dessert was very good with coffee to end the meal beautifully.
I recommend this restaurant for people who want to discover Paris and its Orsay museum.

Chanced upon this lovely restaurant after our first choice turned out to be fully booked. They only had a fixed menu but the good news is it was excellent! Happy to be served food that is beautifully done. Sometimes it's better to not have a choice and let the food choose you.

Truly a good excuse of a restaurant.

The place is not massive so if you come for lunch it’s best to reserve. We had a lunch menu and a la carte. The avocado sauce with shrimp was delightful. The sauce on the salmon with risotto was lovely, but the risotto was too cooked for my taste. The sauce on the beef was delicious.
The only thing we didn’t appreciate was that they served people who came after us first, because they were in a hurry. It was during lunch break, so we went back quite late because of the delay.

I had such a great experience here. Food was amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Apple tarte was the best. Forgot the name of the main dish but it had delicate flavors as well. I definitely hope to come back soon

We have been many times and the food and service are amazing. The owners are so nice and accommodating especially with kids. As you can see from pictures the food looks amazing. Highly recommend anytime you are in Paris but get reservations-it’s small and books up quickly. Enjoy!

Cozy little gem near the musee d'orsay. Friendly and attentive service, although 2 person running the restaurant (includes the kitchen) instead of feeling left out, it's much more personal and warm. Sometimes the chef will bring the dishes and you can mingle with him. The server is very friendly and speaks English well and you can tell she is genuinely happy to serve. We have a wonderful meal there, will definitely recommend the place.
PS tonight's guail is excellent, the sauce is sweet and rich plus the grapes adding a touch of sweetness and freshness makes perfect balance.
